| I love the fact that my son's first entry is doing so well, but I have to be honest that I am more than a bit surprised about my score. Yeah, yeah, it's above 6, but I really thought this was going to be 6.5+... |

| wow ... tthoughght I would walk away for a few hours and see if it rebounded ... nope, dropped another tenth ... sitting st 6.59 now .. down from 6.85 last night ... voters have not been kind today ... |

How do you know you are "holding onto 3rd best"? Is there a way to see your current ranking? (I am new to all of this, only my second challenge).

I'm curious how to follow rules here... my overexposure shot got a comment and low score for being overexposed, now I get a comment and low score on this challenge "DOF" because the background is "out of focus" while the foreground is "in focus"!
Should I just start submitting whatever I want, instead of trying to follow the challenge rules?

The out of focus one has to be a joke, either that or someone that didn't read the challenge title, and/or is new to photography and doesn't understand why you don't want the entire picture in focus. Thats weird though, i imagine he/she is voting that way on everyones though, so I don't think you have to worry about it affecting you placementwise.
eta: I read the "overexposed" comment, and I believe what he meant was that the overexposure doesn't work for you in this case, I think he realized that the challenge was overexposure, the dof one though is stumping me.

wow, good for you! Glad you're not getting hit like I am ... from votes 90-130 I've dropped like a ton of bricks ... was at 6.85 at 90 ... now at 6.44 at 130 ... I'm having a hard time understanding what happened yesterday, how the voters liked it on Wed and hated it on Thurs ... |

 Pamelasue I agree this has been a weird one. I started at 5.7 of all things - have only had a jump like this once before. I hope your score goes back up - usually you get a bump toward the end! |

thanks ... I'd be super happy with 6.4 if I hadn't been teased with 6.85 ... I'm not complaining because it's still going to be one of my highest rated images, I'm just confused! Let's hope that Friday is more voter friendly for all of us! |
