 NikonJeb has been declared the official loser of the original contest.
As per the agreements of the challenge, you can make a donation to his heart-held charity
This would be the charity....
This would be the donate link.
Way to go Jeb, and to everyone else who lost anything.
The Challenge Continues, and we are still trying to make dpc a "lighter" and healthier place.

I'd like to note that the Executive director contacted me since I told him about it, and he specifically mentioned that the majority of those who donated far surpassed the $5.00 we agreed upon.
You guys are the best!

Thanks to you all who donated.
This'll be my last post on the matter, you have been wonderful......as a member of the board of directors of Pa CASA, it's part of my job to do whatever I can to drum up financial, and volunteer support in any way I can.......awareness is a good thing, too.
Here's the win-win thing.....
YOU have a CASA organization near you, and you can give of yourself in many ways if you're looking for a way to do so.....this was one of them.
The administrative end of it is the most demoralizing. There has to be administration at state and national level to help the county organizations coalesce. The downside is that the money spent on administration could always be better spent helping the kids, by helping the county orgs be better staffed and funded.
Kinda sucks, but the administration is a necessity.....we have to lobby, work on ideas, and legislation, and just generally do everything we can to make the programs viable, and operational.......it's a wonderful thing on so many levels.
So each and every little bit helps, and the $5 a head is VERY much appreciated because we struggle greatly for funding.
Here's the thing....we are a small organizattion, we all know each other, and the depth of meaning for some of these little things is just off the charts.
You guys didn't send $5......you sent two, three, many more times what you said you would, and that means a lot to us......we're just regular people trying to do a good thing, and when people give selflessly, it means a lot.
I cannot thank you enough; you all have again made me realize what an amazing place DP Challenge is......I won't embarrass y'all any more by starting a gushing separate thank-you thread, but I am so happy that this worked out this way. I had the easy part.....all I had to do was to keep getting healthier.....there was *NO* downside for me whatsoever.
