I'll be traveling with my sister and brother in law. We'll meet wherever the meeting/caravan point is. They'll be staying at the hotel with me in Columbus. And we're all wearing strange clothing... :-)

update! I just ~~Bought Townley a new car!~~ convinced her to call in sick on Friday. I get home at 3:30 and we can be on the road soon after that - say 4ish - that's a lot better than other time

I have 3 racks of babyback ribs that I will be throwing on the smoker tomorrow. So whoever shows up around dinner time is more than welcome to join us.

I'm staying at the Airport Marriott. My sis and her hubby will be there Friday night, too, and we'll leave from there on Saturday. I'll find out Friday evening what the Saturday meeting point is.

Well, I've decided to do a more leisurely drive Friday after work instead of waking up at 3AM Sat morning.

I look forward to meeting all the new acquaintances, I haven't met, Melethia, Dsterner, ColorCarnival. And see T & A again (Tim and Aimee) and the little Toos, too. ...and not to get mauled by cats. I'm a bit puzzled, I always thought I was boring. Maybe they have some English Mead Wine at the Fest, probably cheaper at the wine store.

The Fairfield Inn on Taylor Rd looks good and we'll be there tonight probably around 9PM. I'll book Saturday night too because it's a nice deal.

Whooh hooh! Nice to see some people hitting the road. For those who are still able to read the thread here are some updates.

I recieved everyones names and I will be placing the ticket order this evening for all of the remaining packages.

Weather report is looking much better. High of 83 but no rain in the forecast. Mostly cloudy through the morning and then partly cloudy in the afternoon. Should be perfect for pictures.

And I guess thats about it. I am looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. Safe travles!

9:57 Grrr Only me! I can travel 300+ miles without incident and suddenly the last 5 miles are a nightmare...LOL

Well in the room, got my toys around me and Townley just opened a beer for each of us. The sandwiches we packed look mighty good too!

Darn, darn, darn....I didn't see this thread in time. :( I'm doing an art show tomorrow. MAYBE...if you really want to extend the evening you can come see me :) I'll be in Fairfield, OH at the Community Arts Center on Wessel Drive. It's about 40 minutes south of Ren. Fest. I'll be there until about 7pm, so likely you won't make it - but I thought I would extend the invite.

Oh...and I LIVE in the "other" Hamilton. Lots of Hamilton shots in my portfolio. I really wish I could have made this gtg.

Darn, I wish I'd been keeping up with the site and "out and abouts". The Ohio Ren is just minutes from my house and I would have loved to spend the day at the ORF with everyone but I have tons of other obligations going on this weekend. Thanks to jpochard for a "heads-up" email this morning, I was at least able to catch up with you guys outside the gate. I enjoyed chatting with everyone and wished I could have stayed. Can't wait to see all your photos. Next year, let's do it up BIG!! Breakfast at my house before and bonfire after. How's that sound?

We had a blast everyone. It was great to meet everyone and see everyone. We had a great (yet very warm) day at the fest and then a fun evening back in Columbus. Deb, Townley and John left this morning. Hopefully they have made it home safe and sound. And Deb Fort should be on a plane headed back to Germany. Wish you could have hung out longer Deb!
