This isn't meant to spark any heated debates regarding this years election ... I'm just posting it as a very interesting look at how you really feel about the issues ... let's all play nice and discuss with respect and tolerance ...

read the 2 quotes and choose the one that you agree with most:

Match-O-Matic

Prior to this I hadn't picked a candidate one way or another ... and I still haven't! However, after this exercise it seems that I agree more with what McCain has said than what Obama has said ... I did agree with statements from both candidates but the scales were tipped in favor of McCain ...

I'm still not going to vote for the person that stayed on the seesaw.

Interesting exercise. Not definitive, of course, but interesting.

I love that test, and have sent it off to others. :)

I found it highly interesting also ... glad everyone is enjoying it ... apparently no one wants to post who they were matched with, eh?!

Obama

Some of the quotes are out of context so the choice you make will also be out of context.

Cool test. I'm excited for my first presidential election--looks like I'm an Obama supporter by a long shot: I chose 12 of his questions compared to just 1 of McCain's.

But I already knew that :D

Definitely Obama.

I'm a definite Obama as well. We ought to do a poll to see just how divided the site is on the two candidates.

Not that it really matters, me being from Australia, but I did the test and I'm McCain all the way.

10/12 for McCain. Go figure...I use a Mac and he is nicknamed Mac. Coincidence??? :)

Well I am an Obama Mama, thats what the Match-O-Matic says too.

Well...I took the test and read each statement twice and the candidate that I plan on voting for remained on the seesaw overwhelmingly.

Completely unfair. 13 questions means one has to be picked over the other. Though personally I could not even agree with most the statements in the first place. Specially when there are two parts. Seriously skewed it is.

Anyway, regardless of the hanged extra vote... I split them down the middle. I don't watch politics or even pay half attention, but the lesser of two evils..... Bring Regan Back.

I never said it was fair ... just interesting ... some people pick most of the statements by the candidate that they were already planning on voting for, while I'm sure some folks are surprised by their choices ...

where do you get the idea that I'm trying to hold your hand? I'm sure you're a big boy and can make a decision for yourself ... this is a discussion - you post something, people respond. Can't we all just play nice? Sheesh ...

Ok, I'm not really surprised. I kind of expected this. I also knew it would be close. . . Somehow I manage to support Obama in this one. 7 to 6.

oh boy do I hate Regan. Not to enthused by either of the American candidates. Now The Canadian election in October that's going to be a interesting one I mean we have Harper... and Jack Layton, and um the Liberal French guy. Now that's a real brain buster.
