I'm not angry at all, Jac. But, I wonder if you'd rather I let them drown in the pool skimmer instead? That is their fate if I don't rescue them.

At that point, they're really glad to get to stop swimming round and round endlessly. I don't find some of them until it's too late and they're a mess of mushy death.

So, I really think that I'm doing them a favor by shooting them for a few minutes and then setting them free in a pond. I don't stick them or poke them or glue them or tie them or drug them or... anything while I have them. They are free to hop around. But, they prefer to just sit there. And I'm happy to photograph them while they rest. *grin*
