wow thats pretty incrediable that you received that and now that you want to do the same. I've been thinking about joining for a while. I just now in the last 4 to 5 months got really serious about my photography. My mate is also my muse and has made alot of this happen for me, but like Len says, its a really deeeeepppp rabbit hole that I've climbed into, but I Love IT!!!!
I just entered my first ever on line photo contest here @ DPChallenge, called XXX, in the road less traveled contest.
I recently started a blog @ //newmexicomtngirl.wordpress.com and I sell some of my photos @ //newmexicomtngirl.etsy.com where all things are handmade (its agreat and very addicting site.

Welcome glad you are diggin this place. One thing you should not call out your entry as anonymity is the corner stone of the challenges here.

Welcome! Taos huh. One of my favorites places to vacation in the summer is any of the small towns along the Enchanted Circle. I was in Red River a couple of summers ago.

Barbara, thank you for the nomination, and Sharryl, thanks for the consideration. But, I must decline this chance for a wonderful gift, because of several reasons, the most important being that I don't think I will add to this community by being a member; I will not take more pictures, I don't have a portfolio, I will not comment more, etc. Even as it is, I can't really digest all the information, knowledge and emotions from this place. Now, with a full membership, which for me means spending more time here, who will do my work?
I believe there are other people more deserving and who might benefit and give more by being a member.

Hello, I'd like to be taken into consideration for a free membership.
I'm an amateur photographer from the south-western U.S, one inspired by many very good photographers who also contribute to this site.
I've been on DPChallenge since Oct. 2006, and every few days I sign on, read tutorials, vote, etc.
Due to my good camera/lens combination, I take lots of photos weekly which usually turn out very well.
Unfortunately, being a non-member, I don't have access to all the challenges here, and I've never ever found a challenge that fits for one of my photos.
I wish I could post an example photo for this post, but being a non-member, I don't have a portfolio.
That's why I'd be really glad to be one of the people picked for a free membership.
I would really appreciate it.

Hi
I feel very odd doing this, but I'd like to nominate myself. I've been here for about a year now, and I've been checking DPC every week to learn new techniques and to be inspired (and of course vote!). I do most of my photography in film though, and since my parents recently got me a DSLR I'm planning on entering more challenges. I am a beginner (I've only done two semesters in B&W Photography at school and a course at RISD), but photography is such a passion of mine. The only thing I can tell you is that I'd definitely put a membership to good use.
