After you select with the marquee tool, you need to do the edit/copy before you do the paste..

When you select an area with the marquee tool, you should have the edit menu options available... are you using photoshop?

Not sure... step 6 should open up a blank image, but then you should be able to paste your copy into that canvas...

thx for help john, i redid it skipping the first steps and just using the image sizing i think it worked, dpcprints says I have uploaded it anyway : )
one more question do I have to re-upload for every size of a print I want to sell of same image? As of now I did the largest one I thought would still be of good quality (8x10)? |

If you just upload the biggest one, then all the smaller prints will use the same file, as long as the aspect ratio is the same. If you want a different aspect ratio you have to upload a new version in your portfolio and then do a separate print file.

sorry, but when do I add the price that I want to sell for? Once it has been approved re: size? |

You'll submit and then it will go for review/approval. It's after they approve it that you'll price your work.
