I'd love one. I used to be a member thanks to Judi.
I sure do miss my old portfolio....
I do know that I was much more productive when I was a member.

Hello- I don't know if I deserve a free membership or not, it's not my decision to make.
However with a dismal record like mine that consists of mostly 4's and such lovely photo's as my friend mike and the universally accepted spork it should be quite obvious that I need all the help I can get.
Just for the record though...I enter not to win, but to learn, and to be able to optimize my little point and shoot to it's maximum. I have fun even when I place dead last!
I would be thrilled if I could get my shots to average a 5.5

I have now been here awhile, and already have, these amazing statistics below. Some of 'my statistics' really blow me away.

Thanks for nominating me, you little darlings.

There's probably $25 in my bank account (not that it hangs around much :-)). It's more a question of selecting priority - I shall be forking over a lot more than that on the occasion of my granddaughter's christening this weekend.

Of course I'll take it with open arms if it comes my way, and it's a great initiative from you, Shez, and all that have followed it - you're doing the right thing. I think the spirit of the gesture leans more toward the young and the newly arrived though, so put me at the bottom of the list. It'll be good.

We are definitely in the early stages, and have a long week ahead of us, when making our decision. You are helping us with these nominations, and looking at many things when we make the final decisions. It is going to be tough decisions, and also a very long week indeed.

We appreciate all nominations, and all of them will be looked at, before we make the decision.

I've never had a paid membership. Something about me?...landed twice in the 13th spot...still aiming for top 10, eventually top 3, and finally a blue ribbon. :) It would be nice to become more active here and this would help.

Looking good but love some more please.

The things we will be looking at, when deciding to give out these four 'DPC gift memberships'.

One does not have to do all of these, but hopefully some of them.

First of all the love of photography.
Being an active user, and have entered some challenges, and your scores are consistent.
Participate in the forums occasionally.
Commenting and voting is also one of the things we like to see you do.
Not able to join, due to personal reasons.
Asking questions, and developing new skills.
Enjoying the friendships here at DPC.
Reasonable average vote cast.
Reasonable average vote received.

Either of the two types of people are what I consider to be the ones we are looking for.

Looking at new people with genuine love of DPC and photography, and who have contributed to the site with making comments & voting, as well as some pleasing images in there portfolio and a wish to learn as much as possible.

Also people who have been here awhile, and who have contributed to the site with making comments & voting, enjoying and participating in the forums, as well as some pleasing images in there portfolio.

Please add you name to this thread, even if you only do some of these things, or are one of these people above, who like a 'gift DPC membership', so we can consider you.

I'll throw my name in there. Joined a month ago and have been on here everyday since :)

Looking to always improve, just not sure if I'm at that membership level yet.

As far as consistent scores goes, does it count if they are consistently low, I have so much to learn. lol

I don't know about deserving... but I'd certainly like to get back into the side challenges... and a membership is simply out of my budget at the moment...

I second the nom for shalrath. I've been in a couple of side challenges with him and he makes some crazy fun photos. Plus he leaves helpful comments too. He would be a good choice.
