I have this lens and LOVE IT!Nikon AF Zoom-Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S DX VR II
What pros/cons are there to keeping or selling these other two.
Nikon AF Zoom-Nikkor 28-80mm f/3.3-5.6G in silver
Nikon AF Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6G
I have not taken the VR off my camera other than to use my 50mm...
I take outdoor shots, birds at feeders, pets, and starting to do portraits.
Thanks for your opinions. |

The only real pro is that if your VR breaks you would have no other lens to use. Beyond that I can not see any real benefit. I would sell them and use the proceeds to either buy yourself a real fast portrait lens(1.4, 1.2 or something), or a Real tripod(manfrotto) or both.

I'd sell the 70-300mm, but I'd keep the 28-80mm.
Because it's silver. |

thanks.....
I was thinking along the lines of selling to have funds for something better....(already do have a manfrotto tripod, but maybe need a better portrait lens)
why keep the 28-80 because its silver?? |

| lol no sell the 28-80 and get a portrait lense lol. Keep the 300 so you can have range should you need it. Just my opinion though. I've been wrong once or twice in my life.... I think it was the summer of 97 if I remember correctly |

Yes. I heard 28-80 is very sharp. Dump 70-300. I had ED version and it was junk. |

Actually, I was saying that out of pure humor. In actuality, I'd sell the 28-80 too and get a really decent prime. Something in the 85mm range. |
