If there are any Canucks out there (between Prescott, Ontario and Montreal) that would like to attend this function and are in need of a ride, please let me know... I always love company.

Thats really nice of you Ray, Hopefully it encourages more participation though the website. If you know any Canucks that are close, if you let me know or list them here, I will PM them or you can and let them know whats going on.

This GTG is less than 3 hours away from my new place :-)
Put me in at 80% sure. If I go, I will come with  Kathe and  Alex_B, the odds are pretty good that  Dr_Toto will also join us with my daughter. |

I have been thinking about possible places to shoot. Here is a list of some ideas that poeple have provided so far including some provided by you Hot_Pixel and Del DJWoodward.
Quechee Gorge - A nice easy hike to the bottom of the gorge and wonderful photo ops
VINS - Vermont Institute of Natural Sciences Raptor center
Simon Pearce Glass - The Simon Pearce Gallery and glass blowing factory is a great spot to stop (especially if the weather is a bit foul)
Billings Farm - Billings Farm is a great functioning creamery and dairy farm with tours and lots of mid 19th century buildings (and lots of farm animals up close)
Jenne Farm - one of the most photographed farms in the US. A wonderful little farm in the rolling hills of South Woodstock VT
Woodstock VT - The famous little town in central VT - lovely buildings, great shops, and a couple of covered bridges close by.
There are many more - including just some great other horse farms nearby and the covered bridges.
Are there any other "Must Stops"?
We have so many options for shooting, we will really need to focus otherwise we will be driving around in circles!
With the number of people that may attend, we might want to consider seeing if one of the local resorts can do a deal (Ascutney Mountain comes to mind). Any thoughts?

Hey all
Just putting it out there again, I am in Vergennes,VT, about 30 miles below Burlington, just off 22A and quite near the Champlain Bridge (from NY) should anyone need a ride, or even a watering hole on the way to & from GTG

So now that it is August, Lets start getting a confirmed list of people comming and try to make this thing happen. I will be pm'ing people tommorrow who expressed interest to see how many will be interested in comming. Peter, I see your reply and confirm here so I will not PM you, just keep an eye on the thread as we attempt to get this off the ground.
Lets try and get a good meeting place together and a time for everyone and a loose schedule for the people who may want to join but wont be able to make it until later in the day, once confirmed I will pass along my cell# so everyone can get ahold of me.

PS: Just so anyone reading this thread knows, I am opening my home which is 90 minutes south of this get together in new hampshire to all who would like to stay for the friday before or the saturday night as well. So you do not have to drve as far. Please if you like this and havent pm'ed me as of yet please do so so I can be sure to have enough room for everyone.
PPS: If you would like to confirm before you are reach by PM just put it here or PM me as well and we will confirm you on this list, anyone else is more than welcome please come and have fun and share the day.
