thanks in advance - i think it came out nice - could use a bit of dust removal - but kept the editing legal ;}

I like the textures and the shape focus. I usually don't care for the way b/w is (over)used on dpc buts it serves this picture well.

that came off the camera BW just because of the setting, and the subject
i merely pushed it to fully BW tones

thanks

The lighting on the knives is a bit harsh. Is there any particular reason you decided to not have them all in focus?

I really understand your desire to keep 'the editing legal', but I'd seriously ask you to reconsider that.

Good photography and good photograpy editing does not always equal dpc rules. Sometimes, it's okay to break the rules.

focus - to highlite the 'general'

i was wondering about the lighting - its flash lit and the texture on the knives grabbed the flash pretty strongly.

i was unsure whether i liked it harsh - drives the theme home i think
after looking at it a few times - and given the BW the harsh light fills the tonal range. where other lights left the image flat
i actully sharpened it quite a bit as well.

was going to use it for the propaganda challenge.

thanks for looking,
