I'm in the FS and rollover isn't until Friday morning, and only then will you tell us our average that you took? In fact its probably worse for those in cardboard box AND fallen. |
Not trying to be cruel ... just tired last night and figured I'd wait so I only would post the survivors (pulled avgs for everyone). I'll post em later today, but I expect it will be pretty close to what your average is if you checked it right this second!
Originally posted by NikonJeb: So I have two questions for rulings.....
Do I have to pick one of the three challenges before rollover? ... I was planning on doing Morning/Evening anyway......IIRC, it's the first entry, so I shouldn't have to specifiy as long as I enter one of the three and I'm okay with my first entry, right? |
Right -- your morning/evening entry will automatically count if you didn't enter Fallen.
Originally posted by NikonJeb: Secondly.....Can I get a bye for week three? |
Nope, sorry -- everyone's gotta play every week or it gets too complicated to work.
Originally posted by SDW: Is there a list that shows who made it through to the second round? |
Check the OP for updates. I should have the Cardboard Box survivors up by this afternoon; then will add the others in after rollover Tuesday and Thursday. From memory when pulling scores last night, CNovack's list looks pretty accurate but incomplete. |

I hate it when I'm right. After 42 votes: 5.5238. Average I have to beat this week: 5.5282. Gonna be a nail biter.
Originally posted by EstimatedEyes: My fallen entry will either score way above or way below my average, so I'm crossin my fingers and going with that one (which no doubt means it will be nail biter that hangs right around my average all week!) |

OK, I just checked the posted average for week 1 and it's higher than I remembered but my Lawn entry is still above by .2. So I guess I survived Week 1.
And my Fallen entry is doing surprisingly well - above 6!! Didn't not expect this at all but will accept gracefully - thank you :D ! Should not last though... |

May I point out that whiterook managed to both beat his average by a whopping .06 AND runner up for the brown at the same time. Now THAT is talent! |

It must be strategy to not make his avg climb too high...so he can pull in the big bat at the end and hit a home run!!!!
Congrats rook |

With my FS shot now #8 in my portfolio I'm looking at 'fallen' and whilst its early days have a .3215 safety net (based on my current avg thats higher than at rollover). I can see this getting much (much) harder as the week/s go on and reckon Whiterook could have it in the bag ;)
Am feeling semi confident of lasting a few weeks at last but have been known to get the odd 4 this year, not with a bad picture but (apparently) missing the challenge topic.

Nice going Andi. I'd love to be that confident! I never know if I'll even break 5 most of the time. You'd think after all this time and as many challenges as I've entered, I'd have a clue by now, huh? Not so! |

I'm not in fallen, so morning, here I come!
I'm feeling good about it beating my average (still life's still almost a full point above my avg.). |

If this works, you should be able to find your week 2 averages here, along with partial results from week 1.

A suggestion - maybe some colors for who's in or out |

my copy actually has those colors, but the conditional formatting doesn't translate into googledocs! I'm working on it though. :>P |

It works! But what do the asterisks mean? Thanks for going to all that trouble! |

Cheers Dennis, my avg has gone up 0.0138. A couple more weeks like that and I'll be up to my goal of 5.8 and out of the challenge lol.

this is just the spreadsheet I use to compile scores. The asterisk just tells me that someone picked the open challenge (or FS) after the member challenge had started, so I can double check to make sure they didn't enter the member challenge (in which case the selection would have come too late).
I was going to make an official (less confusing!) version of the sheet to post here, but haven't had the time yet, so just uploaded my working copy. |

Umm......
I had stated that I was going to run in FS for week 1......
I'll take the pass, but I wanna be honest, too.
It's at 6.2, so I'm not really sweating it, but.....

Thanks for your honesty, but I must have missed that one ...
I just went back (quickly) through the old posts and also checked my PMs and couldn't find anything from you. If you can direct me to your post I'll change it ... like you say, may not matter in the end, but would rather be accurate if we can! |

What a LOT of work this challenge is for you, Dennis! THANKS bunches for doing it.
I'm out in the first round *sigh* but I'm watching the results.
It's a wonderful challenge that's fair to everyone no matter where they are in the scheme of scores. Well done!

Ha Ha Ha. Thanks for the laugh.
I will probably avoid that challenge, and hope that the open challenges are somewhere up my alley. |

Sorry your out in week one Lydia and think this is a better than fair side challenge as the big hitters need to hit big - they are up against themselves, not us little people lol.
Mind you, it does pose a dilemma as to what challenge to opt for, imagine going out when another entered challenge scores above your average! I've got 4 green bars on my challenge entries - only ever had 2 before.

I'm going to be in "morning" for the second round (assuming I make it, but I'm 0.6 above my average right now)...didn't have a fallen photo |
