I am at a loss, I can brighten the colours, sharpen, but can not think of anything else to make it from 'cute' to 'oh wow' kind of shot,
Story behind it, was in my garden, fell asleep and then woke up to deers, fawns and a stag. Got tons of pics they are all cute, but nothing that makes you go 'wow'
any suggestions???[thumb]704983[/thumb][thumb]704987[/thumb]

I might try cropping close to one of the little guys, then playing with it from there. Background blur, brightness, contrast, etc. You might get something closer to a 'wow' image.
I have the same problem with my deer photos. It's kind of hard to get wild deer to pose in the right spot at the right time. :D

Yeah, dont fall asleep in your garden anymore. Good thing you woke up when you did that stag was about to take advantage of you.......or worse they were planning to burn your village after taking your veggies from the garden.

ha ha ha Matt,
they are used to our garden, they are regulary in here. when it is rut season though, you wouldnt catch me near any of them, too dangerous. But right now the family dynamics are peacefull |

these two are both Fallow deer babies. the mother which is not shown is 14-16 years old of the paler fawn, the other mother is the same colour but the father is a darker deer, same breed. when in rutting season the dynamics are changed, right now, the father deer is a dark brown , but there is a younger buck that is trying and obvoiusly got off with an outcast female. The smaller deer will take a female in the backwoods when the bigger and father of the herd is doing his thing with his fav deers. they are segregated into two different packs. |

I'm without portfolio for a while here.
Edit 1 goes to Hue/Saturation, the selecting Yellows from the menu at the top of the little window, then moving the sliders to include most of the green part of the spectrum. Reduce lightness (a lot) and saturation (a bit) then change back to Master in the top menu and jack up the saturation generally. Doesn't do a lot, but it neutralises the greenery a bit.
Edit 2 was something very clever, I'm sure, but I've forgotten what I did now - Brightness/Contrast and USM - it tolerates quite a lot. You just end up chasing your tail though (or at least I do). |

Here's my version. I think it adds a little drama.

chuckle chuckle, but it did occur to me that it's that one foal that's the picture, so in the spirit of goodman's dynamic cropping that may be the way to go.
You need a collar and a cow bell on the T rex though - you know the rules. |
