Ran across this today and thought I would pass it along.
Long story short, Mike Tyson sold his Ohio mansion in the late '90s when he moved to Las Vegas.
The mansion has sat empty since then, the current owner may or may not be the US law enforcement due
to legal difficulties of the guy that bought it from Tyson. A blogger that explores and photographs abandoned buildings discovered it, and posted the results here. Enjoy.

It could be a fun place for a get together. Although you would have to be quick, as I doubt that the easy access will last long. |

I'd love a tour of Al Gores mansion. I bet it's in better taste than MT and probably has much more floor space. LOL

Unless he had permission to enter the place (which from the way he's writing, he didn't), he's doing the same thing that so many other photographers that think is is their right to do and above the law... trespass and breaking and entering to take pictures. This is no different than the thinking of the photographer Michael Fatali when he set the fire at Delicate Arches in 2001 just to get the pictures he wanted. I for one don't find this neat, cool or admirable in the photographer if he really didn't have permission to be there.

Bah, no indoor rollercoaster. ;\
That washroom is bigger than my whole apartment.
That carpet has to go go go, but it sure is groovy.

The pool is interesting in that most of the plants in that area are still in decent shape. I doubt they're plastic fakes...is there enough moisture from condensation of pool water to survive? The garbage on top of the ice suggests that others have certainly passed thru there also. |

yeah - i bet there is enough moisture from the pool, especially if the pool water is kept warmer than the room itself. that causes a ton of evaporation. high end pools etc. also tend to have an auto fill set up. so when the water gets to a certain point a valve opens and fills it back up. so you'd sort of have a tropical rain forest effect if my theory is correct.
and i work with pools - so i;m not making it up ;}
BTW the pool is green with algae... i wouldn't swim in it.

What if there's no power? I doubt the electricity is still on. :-) |

It looked to me like the jets for the pool were going in the photos. Maybe that's just the edges of the algae.
