You bet Leo, any time, I'll post to let you know how things progress for Sunday and we'll take it from there.

Scott, this looks like a great spot to go, I wonder what Lea thinks. I hope this all works out, I really need some time with my camera and some people who want the same.

I'll call our agent in the morning when she gets in and see if she knows anything further and if it's a go for us I'll post right away and we can have as much time as possible to hammer out the time and place that works for us all.

Me too.

I have been cutting out of work early the last couple Fridays so I hope I will be home noonish. Last week a buddy and I got into a matinee for Dark Knight (awesome film). Its great being self employed!!! And I've got a real burn going to give my new Sigma a run for it's money.

Ah yes self employment, I love it too.

Scott, thank you for the links, I'll look at them in more detail later, but the Sigma has no data to date in reference to the rating scale to compare it to the Nikon.

Rouge Park is close enough to me to be reasonable, and a good location for my hubby and kids too.

OK I'm free for Sunday and I'm up for anything. We just need to set a time, because I think we have the place (Rouge Park), that works for all of us.

This is great and I cant wait to see all of you.

So lets nail down a time and I'll see you there.

Thank you Lea and Scott, much fun ahead.

Does anyone have a time preference ?

I'll only have about 40-ish minutes of travel time, any my kids get up in time to wake up the roosters, so any time really works for me.

Does noon work ?
Is that too early ?
Too late ?

And where shall we meet ? Rouge Park is very large, and has a number of entrance points.

I think the Beach looks like a good place to start and has the most amenities. Including Bathrooms (I will probably have a cup or 2 of Tims to recycle from the drive) and might offer some stuff for the kids too.

I'm good to start anytime between 10 and noon. ETA (I think I prefer 10ish and have no other plans for the day so I can stay till whenever)

I'm very excited that this is coming together and to meet everyone. It shall be a great gathering of Nikonians :)

Lets shoot for 10:00am, I would like to take advantage of all the available time we have, besides we'll have that awkward get to know each other a bit time and then we'll get down to it.

My batteries are all charged up and both my memory cards are formatted and I've got everything all together and I'm now sitting by the door staring at the clock and watching time fly :)~

I'm really looking forward to this, and thank you both for getting together with me, I'm stoked.

Great I can't wait.
Not sure if I'm bringing my Truck Black/Silver GMC or my wifes little Orange Kia.

This is me...I should be a lot happier...High probability I will be wearing a yellow or Orange shirt and a "Yes" hat. Not to mention all the camera gear :P

ANY OTHER GTA DPCers WANT IN ON THIS GTG????

Here is me, just a few weeks ago.

This is me I will be wearing clothes, a hat, my camera stuff and I'll leave the tub at home :)

I might be bringing my wife Janet-Lynne and youngest son Isaac. Both Isaac and I (now) have an audition on Monday, me @ 10:25 and he @ 9:30 so we are thinking of taking a hotel in TO and saving on gas and wear and tear on the car. Oh it's a green Ford focus.

My wife wont let me sleep in the park:(

Oh and this is our oldest Caleb , he wants to stay home. (he's now 13, so you know he needs his alone time, sheesh, kids)

You have GORGEOUS kids, Quigley !

How old is Isaac ? My oldest is almost 6 - he might enjoy having another kid around his age to play with.

07/25/2008 10:32:43 PM · #98
Isaac is 10, he's house broken and he plays well with others of all ages.

You can see him in A Denice the Menace Christmas and Mr. Magorium's' Wonder Emporium. In Denice, he has a big part and in Magorium, a smaller one, so if your looking to kill some time with the little ones you can check him out.

Dude! You so look like Jonathan Franks I might just have to call you Number One or Commander...you don't have a red/black jump suit do you? That would be sooo cool. LMAO

Now that's funny Dude, at least that guy can (could) make a living at it unlike me. Having to work for a living is great but acting for a living would be awesome.

Our kids have that one well in hand Isaac Durnford.

Our oldest is an actor, and a voice over actor as well but more well known for his voice work.
