At the time of this photo we were renovating a house for a friend and he no longer wanted this beautiful vintage tub. We live in a Victorian house and I'm planing to renovate it and asked if we could have the tub, it would be just right for my renovation. Ian my friend that were doing the work for said yes and my employee Mark and I brought it home. When we off loaded the tub from the work trailer I got the idea for this shot. The image and title jumped into my head and I couldn't get rid of them.

Anyhow it's fun to have an idea pop into your head and follow it through to the final image. I had fun coming up with the idea (in fact I laughed my ass off when the idea popped into my head) setting it up and then carring it out. My wife had a blast watching me get in and out of the tub to load the images on to the computer to see how they turned out. So a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to my wife for pressing the remote shutter. She says she loves me because I'm nuts so why change.

Ah, man, you got robbed :-) This deserves a much better finish. But then, I doubt you expected one, and the reward was in the making, so it's all cool (pun intended).

ROTFL

This is too funny. Would have been better if you were wearing women's lingerie though....

I'm grinnin' ! Good job of making something really fun out of what is available. This somehow reminds me of the old Red Green Show on TV.

Looks comfy! Not a fantastic shot, but its different and interesting. Might score higher if you had a naked woman in the tub instead, but then again, we all know what a naked woman looks like.

Ok, a couple questions.
First of all wouldn't the heat conduction from the metal tub transfer upward and melt the snow off of the rim? That is unless you really are just sitting in an empty tub, in which case you are crazier than it first appeared.
Second, maybe the tub is fiberglass (the reason for the snow not melting from the edge of the tub so fast)? Or...maybe...you have ANOTHER hot water pot, sitting on the bottom of the tub, between your legs and the steam coming up from it appears to be the "hot water" in your bath.
Last but not least your bare arms. Even if you have hot water in the "tub", your arms are dry which would mean that they have not contacted the "hot" water so therefore are <98.6 degrees and uncovered in the winter air! Wow, what dedication for an entry at DPC. Keep up the great work. -BB

PS. Pardon my musings, this did get kinda long didn't it? lol.
PSS. Can't wait to see who this is.

LOL! Excellent idea. Can't believe you did that for a challenge. But I'll bet it was fun! (Commenting only, no vote.)
