Things are just not going my way for about the last three weeks.
Purchased a CD deck for my car and scheduled to have it installed. Show up for installation on my lunch break - they don't have the part. Might be in next week. Lunch break wasted.
I had a new dc deck installed in my car so that I could listen to tunes off my iPod: iPod is not compatible with the deck.
Wife catches real bad summer cold from work. Refuses to take time off to rest. "Too busy" at work. SHe feels like crap so I have to pick up the slack.
Friend's cat we have been taking care since December (house fire) escapes from our house. Every effort made to find cat has not turned up anything. Wife is devastated and depressed. I get dragged down too cuz I'm the hubby.
Catch a cold a couple days before my b-day. B-day rolls around, feel like crap with a fever, spend whole weekend in basement where it's cool watching TV. Yey! Wife had cold before me and busy with work = no b-day present, naked or otherwise.
Get home and open credit card bill that just came in. Three charges that I do not recognize. Called company. Someone used my credit card information online on three seperate occasions (!). Get charges refunded and credit car number cancelled. Royally p.o.ed
Go to install a new air filter in my car: online vendor sold me the wrong one. Now stuck with unusable filter.
One of my favourite uncles passes away. Glad he's at rest cuz he was sick, but I will miss him.
Getting home from work yesterday, our older cat not feeling well. Wife concerned and stressed.
Went out for supper to a nice restaurant with my wife last night. It was our anniversary. This morning she woke up after hardly sleeping all night and threw up multiple times. Mother-in-law brought her to the hospital. Doc beleives it is food poisonning. Wife admitted and on IV until further notice.
So, as you can imagine I'm not the happiest of campers right now. I'm irritable and don't feel like doing much. Looks like summer 2008 is shaping up to be one to forget.
Anyway, back to work. Thanks for taking the time read this. Makes me feel less alone I guess...

Oh geeze, I will think twice before I ever complain about a bit of bad luck in the future. Hang in there mate, if you are able enough to share your feelings then you still have your head above water, just remember to hold your breath for the waves and swim for shore. |

As Togtog said, hang in there - and I hope your wife is feeling much better. |

I guess it is all in how we view our lot in life.
I have not had full use of my left leg since last October and was really starting to feel sorry for myself till I noticed something when arriving at work one day...
While I was getting my cane out of the car, I noticed another man struggling with a wheel chair and suddenly realized that I was still luckier than some.
I do hope your troubles, as well as those of your spouse, end soon and that you can both resume a normal life.
Ray

You think you should be treated differently than the rest of us?
Purchased a CD deck for my car and scheduled to have it installed.
You should be paying attention to driving
I had a new dc deck installed in my car so that I could listen to tunes off my iPod: iPod is not compatible with the deck.
Just who are you placing the blame on here?
Wife catches real bad summer cold from work.
Should not have a wife.....wife BAD
Friend's cat we have been taking care since December (house fire) escapes from our house.
Finally a bit of good news!
B-day rolls around,..... no b-day present, naked or otherwise.
You are too old for birthday presents. Besides, you are French and don't deserve a present.
Get home and open credit card bill Someone used my credit card information online on three separate occasions
You should NEVER put that kind of info on the Internet
Go to install a new air filter in my car: online vendor sold me the wrong one. Now stuck with unusable filter.
Filters for your car not sold locally?
One of my favourite uncles passes away. Glad he's at rest cuz he was sick, but I will miss him.
Well, that is sad...and glad.
Getting home from work yesterday, our older cat not feeling well.
So? Cats bad.
wife, anniversary, Mother-in-law
Oh boy, need I say more? I see a common denominator here.
So, as you can imagine I'm not the happiest of campers right now. I'm irritable and don't feel like doing much. Looks like summer 2008 is shaping up to be one to forget.
Camping? In the middle of the summer?
Anyway, back to work. |

I thought they said bad things come in threes. You must have got a triple dose. I hope things improve for you soon. I've also had a string of bad luck lately, so don't feel too alone. :)
