Here is an image I took from St. Augustine's lighthouse earlier today. A very overcast and drizzly day up there.
Large Version to see detail if you'd like ~ 200KB @ 1200x800
It seems very blue, which I'm pretty sure is just my bad judgement on the white balance. Any other suggestions that might have made the image better? Perhaps how to bring out more color saturation? I used about +20 Saturation in PS to get it where it is now.
Thanks in advance! :)

I like the blue.. It feels cool, like I am there. However, it is a little hazy. I don't feel there is a lot of detail here though, there is nothing in particular that I am looking at. There are a lot of distractions. Perhaps if you could have gotton a tighter shot of one of the boats or, if you had better weather to contend with to help your colors pop a bit more.
Thats what I see when I look at this picture.

Did you shoot it as a raw or jpeg? If it's a raw, you can usually change the wb in the raw converter, at least I can with my sigma. |

Yep... not really a particular subject here. That might be what's bothering me so much with it. Should have stuck the zoom lens on there. The haze is there due to the evil drizzle that ruined my happy day of photography up there ::sniffle::
Thanks Jae!

It was shot as JPEG... but I'll check into that for future outings. Thanks!

I fooled around with selective color and came up with this:
I think it brings out the greens and separates the boats from the water a little more. Try it yourself on the original and see if you can get something you like. |

I used the haze to enhance this shot. I used a varifocus to blur the foreground some. I also enhanced the hues and curves some and the dodged the tree line. I also recropped at a 12x24 ratio then put it on a 20x30 matte.

Well here's my go at it...
I worked with the larger version. First adjusted with PS CS "Highlight & Shadow" which works kinda like contrast masking, but FAST. Then tweaked curves a bit to fine adjust contrast & warm the image. Adjusted saturation down just a touch, resized, ran Fred Miranda Intellisharpen (level 3), applied a gaussian blur (4.0px radius), faded the blur to 20%, tweaked curves one more time for overall exposure. Done.
