I'm going to be setting up a booth at an art fair and I'm thinking of selling greeting cards or note cards with my photos on them, but I'm having a hard time finding blank cards at a reasonable price. Does anyone have a good source for those? Also, how much do you think I could sell them for at an art fair? |

overnight prints and such do nice cards for some things, but not IMO, 'art' cards. Like any printing the more copies you get the cheaper (per item) it is.
I've not seen anyone that does the cards like true greeting cards - you know, 24 in a nice box w/ envelopes. If you find such a place let me know!
Many labs to do nice cards on various papers but costs can easily run $1-2 a card. 24 can start at $24 and go upwards of $40. And you need a box or something to sell them in if you're gonna ask $40-60 for 24 cards.

I am interested in that too, as well as the post card type ones. |

Not surprised to see that out of stock at Staples.
My local printer does cards for 1.50 each plus .10¢ for an envelope in bulk. Wouldn't a place like Mpix do that as well? |

Depending on the quantity you're looking for, you can approach a printer or a local copy shop. Put 2up per page, cut in half and for say, 100 color copies, you'll get 200 cards. I work for a small printing/marketing firm and we do that a lot. |

Photographer's Edge has a card that you put an actual print in, fold it over, and "seal" it.
It can then be used as a greeting card, or a mat for a small frame.
I sold several of these a few years ago at a street fair, but it may be more than you are wanting to invest (money and time).
Photographer's Edge
eta: I don't remember exactly, but I think I sold them for around 3 dollars a piece, or 5 for something just less than that.

It always amazes me that people who don't think twice about dropping $5 or more for Hallmark/Carlton/AG cards in the drugstore don't want to pay half that for something unique... |

I like these. There is also a kind made where the photo slips into a pre-made pocket in the card instead of being glued-in; I can't find/remember where to get them, though I know you can order them through the Kodak Gallery (formerly Ofoto) printing site. I've also seen holiday-themed ones (but rarely blanks) at Costco nearer the December holidays. |

I use these from Mpix (comes with envelopes). I get gift boxes separately from Uline and make up sets of 12 notecards (assorted) and they tend to sell very well.
Don't have enough praise for Mpix, really. Super fast turnaround, you can put your own branding on the back of the notecards, I like the linen paper but not for shots with people in them, they've got great customer service, the notecard design software is easy to use and upload/ordering directly from the software is a breeze. Another plus is that once the card is designed, you can save the card template and order the more popular sellers over and over again easily.
Even if you aren't looking to sell professionally at a craft fair or whatever, a box of assorted notecards makes a nice Christmas or birthday gift for family/friends. |

I have used Photographers Edge and they have a good selection of stuff. Also have a look at what Redimat.com has. |
