Calling on the global community of the site to help my wife (doubles as my photo assistant and model) complete her crazy set of Starbucks Bearista Bears.

She's been collecting these for years, and spends way too much money on eBay ;O)
I figured what better way to find these all over the globe, than to hit up the DPC community!

Here's her current collection:
(She's at the top of the photo)

But she's still looking for a bunch more!

If any of you happen to be grabbing your morning Latte fix... and see any of these bears in the stores - I'll spring for the cost of the bear, the shipping, and a bit extra to cover your time. Just please reply here before you grab the little critter (so that I don't end up going broke covering 148 UK bears) !!

Note: hers is probably the most complete collection on the planet... and this would literally finish it.
(Okay... it would make me a hero at the same time). ;O)

Here's the list of bears that she still needs:

Global Destination Bears
Argentina
Austria
Bahrain
Brazil
China
Chile
Cyprus
Germany Melethia
India
Ireland (Northern)
Korea docpjv
Kuwait Melethia
Lebanon
Macau
Malaysia andrewt
New Zealand rinac
Oman
Peru
Portugal
Qatar
Romania
Russia
Saudi Arabia
Singapore andrewt
Spain
Switzerland Sam94720
Thailand
Turkey
United Kingdom
Vietnam

United States Messenger Bears
Austin
Boston
Dallas
Detroit
Houston
Las Vegas
Miami
Orlando
Philadelphia
Pittsburgh
San Antonio
San Diego Brad
Washington DC

Thanks for looking... I know it has nothing to do with photography (other than the fact that I get to take pictures of each bear for her collection), so I feel kinda bad even asking.

I've got Miami covered for you and the Misses. I'm at Starbucks almost everyday. If they've got it then you've got it. I'll confirm for you first tomorrow.

If these bears are only in those places that they are named after then that's it. But considering the population here, it might make sense that a lot of the South American bears will be found here too.

Do you know if these bears are available outside of the places that they are named for?

So I take it she doesn't need one from Japan. I think it wears a green and white shirt. ;-)

Awesome! Thanks so much yakatme :O)

Unfortunately... the bears are only available in the countries where they are aptly named.
Look forward to hearing from you tomorrow - thanks again!!!!

I'm headed for Thailand but not until November. I'll likely forget so if you don't have one by then send me a reminder around Nov 1st or so.

Robert, if they exist here, I can get you a Swiss one.

I regret that I cannot give up my Kuwait bear (I do have one) but I will keep an eye open if they come up with them again and will let you know. My collection seriously pales in comparison, but I do love my bears just the same. By the way, what are the bears in the hoodie sweatshirts in the front? Some appear to be dark sweatshirts, some light sweatshirts. I haven't seen those before. Can you shoot some closeups of the different kinds for those of us who also happen to like the little guys?

Thanks Sam! Very much appreciated :O)
It is my understanding that they should be available, but likely only found in the major cities.

I'll need to get clarification from her in the morning... but they are the local bears from the past 2 yrs (typically one for each major city - and state).
They have the city or state embroidered on the hoodie, and each has a t-shirt saying something different (for instance, the Philadelphia bear t-shirt says "City of Brotherly Love").

Thanks! And when I get back to Germany, I'll check out the local bears. They have new ones this year with a sorta sweatshirt thingie holding a flag that says "Germany". They did have the green apron bears, but haven't seen any of those lately.
