Thanks to Jeffrey for posting that link in the first place (to Trusted Reviews). I got my picture and was thrilled.
Congrats to Julianne and Christian too. I loved those photos and wish that they had more prizes to give out.
It was fun to win! I just thought it was funny that they do not let you know you won lol |

My slideshows - anyone want to give an opinion on these? the first is automatically generated through animoto, the second i made (very basic, no fancy pants stuff at the moment) ith pro show gold (as it says on the video, as i haven't paid for it yet...)

| Christian, dear, I unfortunately can't get to your slideshows at the moment (I'll try at our office tomorrow but the connections are SLOW) but I do want to say that I'm absolutely, positively delighted that you have some VERY nice scores going at the moment! |

Well the Night Sky challenge frightened off the shooters, at best those in will finish in the top 50 :-)

I checked out some tables and it seems the moon was in the sky for about twenty hours yesterday, but unfortunately the sun was up there for all of them and another two as well. I thought maybe the Antipodes would be the place to get the night sky at this time of year... |

Just wanted to check in and mention that it's been exactly six months for me today for the change of how I take care of my health.
My sleep apnea is gone, I no longer have swelling and circulation problems in my legs, and I don't puff and wheeze just crossing the room.
The diet was a given, and exercise must accompany any plan to do better with your health......what I wasn't prepared for was how amazingly much better I feel ALL the time. I probably have not felt this good in 20 years.
I still have a ways to go, but I can really feel my body changing as I continue to exercise and eat right. No special diets, no tricks, no secret formulas......just good sensible eating, and a gym membership where I can get guidance and take advantage of many terrific programs available with the membership.....and a commitment to myself.
Down 97.6 pounds from December 4th, '07.

JerseyGenie is a very happy gal right now (and so is her husband Tom). Our team has just won the Stanley Cup again. Unfortunately we are not "home" to enjoy the party. I do have to applaud the Pittsburgh team and fans for staying and showing real sportsmanship.
And the other thing to celebrate is that as of today I am half way on my weight loss journey ... not up to Jeb's status, but on the way!
Deb, stay safe, please.
Congrats to all on the fine scores that are showing up.

| Oh, and today is a lovely sandstorm kinda day. Feels like an oven on bake, and the wind just sucks all the water right out of you and deposits many many layers of sand at the same time. I'm planning to spend some time indoors. :-) (Though I did just walk across an expanse of nothing to get from point A to point B - it's interesting!) |

My Free Study entry is sitting along a relatively mediocre line - a hair over 5.1 right now.
Nothing to write home about.
But, I showed it to a friend a few days ago and she commented about how much she liked it. So, using my DPCPrints credits, I had an 8x10 printed for her and sent. She got it today and is seemingly over-the-moon happy about it.
THAT, my friends, is why I keep taking photos. Scores be damned.

| That makes me smile, Lea - congrats! And yes, sometimes the little things are the best. I put a bunch of my vacation pictures on a disk for my dad and his wife - showed them to her and she said "Oh, we finally have a vacation with really good pictures!!" They're delighted with them and will undoubtedly bore my other relatives with them as well. Side note - will be heading to Afghanistan later today, sandstorms permitting, and will probably not get much internet access while I'm there. Should be back to Kuwait within the week, flights permitting. |
