Sunflower festival in NW Louisiana

I still haven't been able to find the weekend that it will occur. I think the farmers/weather drive the date of this event but I want to get interest in it early. Typically happens in the latter part of June.

Gilliam Louisiana is where one of the towns have bazaares, but the whole countyside is full of sunflowers as well as wildflowers.

If someone will help me keep this fairly current maybe we can have a GTG. If we have enough people I might be able to get a group discount rate on hotel rates in Shreveport for those that have to travel more than a couple of hours.

Let me know if there is interest!

Ok, you'd think I was totally over flowers, but I'm in! Hopefully we can get a few more folks to attend this one...as we had a great time shooting the old house and the cemetary this past weekend, lol. Not a 100% floral weekend! :P

We will prolly be there. We are planning on going to Albuquerque that week, just not sure what day we will be leaving! Probably not until the 30th or later.

Should be fun!!!

Wish I was going to be there that weekend.... I won't be back to the Grand Cane area until the last week in July. One last hurrah before deployment back to Iraq.
