I feel it can be what you want it to be..... We have an idea, but thats a starting point. One can do what they would like to do, and you will be most welcomed to join us.....

You can do the same, as I am sure they will be so differant from each other.

We would love to see them all.....

Darn, that was my idea. Are you using actual Pez or the dispenser? I don't want to do the same thing that someone else is doing, especially since yours will probably be better than mine :)

I'm interested, but can I do something like lilies?

I love them but I'd like to do various different lilies.

Count me in......but it definitely won't be anything having to do with mannequins! I'll need to think about it and post my subject later.

Time to rest your weary heads? :P

Wish I could participate, but one challenge is too much already (fixed length June). Will pop in and watch from the sidelines though. Have fun y'all. (yeah, I have a southern drawl - mixed with some Bronx and Boston - and yet I grew up in California - go figure)

Pez

I used to collect them when I was a kid, then during the 'bad old days' they stopped selling them to South Africa. In recent times they have come back, but I have never bought any of the current ones. I collect far too many other things.

I've had a really bad run with side challenges lately but I'm tempted to give this one a try. Still trying to think what to use.

Sounds like fun. But I can't decide between my collection (6 or 7) of colanders - some old and some very battered - and my silly stuffed Dalmatian, Buster. OK, maybe not Buster - too like a mannequin or a woody. So make it colanders. This could be intense.

Well, I wasn't going to do another one since I wasn't able to finish the May side challenge I signed up for. But I got home and saw something (that wasn't a marble) that I could photogragh for the month of June.

Put me down for "Sock Monkey"

I will do my best to keep up and comment. See you in June.

I thought about colanders but decided I didn't want to fight with reflections from metallic stuff :) Yes, I'm lazy!

w00t! I can still join! Hehe. I'm excited for this. I already have several concepts lined up for my stapler =p Hopefully, I don't run out of ideas for the duration of the month.

I have just updated the list of names and what you would like to photograph. Please let me know if I have missed anyone, and also with what they are doing as there theme. We have 17 18 people interested and it should be a lot of fun. I am already jotting down ideas, concepts and collecting materials for my toothbrushes. I do hope I don't regret this, but looking forward to the challenge.

Sign me up - I'll do "sunglasses."

It's gonna be tough to come up with a daily (or at least frequent) unique shot of my shoehorn. What I think I'll do is since I have been "shoehorning" challenges with my shoehorn, I may visit past challenges for inspiration and title my shots according to the previous challenge that they fit.

That works, however, I usually have the page URL pointing to the main Flickr page for the shot, rather than the full size view, that way the notes and details of the image can be read, and someone can still click through to the larger one if they want. Like so:

That's really a preference thing however.

Ok Shez, I've finally decided!! I will use my fake, plastic frog. I hope the dogs don't decide to chew it up between now and then!!!

Ok, count me in. I'm gonna have a shot at this. I'll do doors.

BeeCee, only one is shiny, and not super shiny - the rest are old battered aluminum.

Can I do baseball and does the baseball have to be the main focus or can it be s secondary part?
05/28/2008 09:54:53 PM · #48
I feel it can be both, and it is all up to you..... This is a good learning curve, being involved in these side challenges. It can take you out of your comfort zone, if you wish.....

Also it gives you the support from other photographers in the side challenge, to see your images, and to comment on them.....

We are all friends here..... Enjoy.....
