Good, can't be the wrong Faye then :D

I, too, enjoy revisiting Faye/Jerry/Alice's portfolio over there at Webshots. I left a couple comments on some of the shots where she didn't notice (or didn't bother to crop out) the copyright.

I got a kick out of this one. Looks like she's resorted to stealing screen captures from video games and trying to pass them off as her own work.
Just don't know what game it's from

I don't know whether anyone had noted this before, but she also has an account at Pixel Perfect Digital where she has uploaded several images as free stock photos. Her PROFILE link, which by the way contains an email address for her.

That site is what started me afresh; the fact that she's giving away others' work.
But I DID miss the email addy, thanks for pointing it out :D

Btw, can anyone read the first name on that Garcia painting there?
eta; NM, I've discovered that if I "properties" on the lg size she's not changed original names, at least on some.... mwahahahaha....*rubs hands together in glee*

First time I see this happening and i'm stunned. This is crazy. Have I got this right? She does this for the sole fact of passing these off as her own? Doesn't anyone pick up on it? Who are the dummies congratulating her? She can't be the only one, there must be thousands doing this. What a low-life bottom feeder this woman is.

Webshots, which is a division of American Greetings, seems to be full of this sort of thing. Some are just sharing photos they've found and like without even realising or thinking about copyright, but mozingo1 is NOT the only one claiming the work as hers, by any means.

It's really sad that a company that makes its livelyhood from images (greeting cards, wrap, etc., etc.) allows the creators of them to be abused this way.

What makes me the saddest is that nobody will steal my photos...***sits in the corner weeping***

I wonder if there is some unique tag-word that DPC users can put in the "keywords" box with their photo descriptions that would make it easy to find any of their DPC images in search engines that find that tag keyword. In effect, a keyword unique to each DPC user, like a "password" key or cookie to use in order to search for your stolen images. It could be the same for all your portfolio images.

I've found some by doing a search for "image_copyright_reuse_prohibited" with a user name.. .

eta: or something like that

Jason, would it make you feel better if I stole one of yours and posted it on Webshots or Flickr? :)

Maybe a little...
05/20/2008 10:21:57 PM · #293
The problem is that yours are all too good; nobody would believe it was mine! :)

Looks like she also recently joined photoftheday.net (link to her profile)... not much info in her profile other than the reference to Four Oaks, NC. I note her occupation is stated as 'retired' and not 'deceased' LOL. And she joinedhere in January 2008... note her profile indicates her gender as female. This was well after she 'died'

ETA: Also she was on photocamel... but it looks like she was banned. But I am pretty sure that this image is from DPC somewhere (perhaps I am wrong though).
