Photographer speared by javelin at track meet!
Yikes. Let this be a warning to you sports shooters...don't go getting poked by pointy things or hit by metal frisbees. :)

That is one dedicated photographer. I don't know if I would be able to get a photo of my injury... would probably be in tears. |

Best line from the caption on the enlarged photo: "McGeeney took the photo himself."
Challenge idea: self-portraits after being injured. :)

I read this article on Sports Illustrated and couldn't get over this qoute:
"One of the first things that came to my mind was, 'Good thing we brought a second javelin,"' Miles' coach, Richard Vance, said Monday.
