probably not appropriate for high school kids, but some interesting aspects to think about.
i'll start a google search to find the name :)

I took a picture of a dead fish... DPC didn't like my sense of humor :(

Or has it been released yet?

did i give a spoiler? sorry. that is just what was shown in the preview on TV a few weeks ago. Not having seen anything but that preview, I really have no idea what happens.

Very good movie and it's based on a true story too.

I thought so and since it is kids in the movie, I figured it would be perfect. It really was geared toward a younger audience. Plus, it's rated PG :)

"War Photographer" James Nachtwey documentary

An amazing and inspiring film. I stayed after class was over in school to finish watching it.

The movie is a little creepy, but amazing at the same time. It certainly got me researching Ms. Arbus.

I just saw this recently. It was really interesting!

Born into Brothels is a documentary. My photography teacher showed it in 8th grade. The concept is pretty bad and depressing, but the photographer teaches the children of prostitutes in Calcutta photography, and gets them into college and galleries.

Thanks for the replies!
I started this thread and then forgot about it!

Nice replies, I'll look into it.

I don't like giving a final exam, but we are supposed to do it. I was maybe going to show "The public eye" (which I haven't seen) and have students figure out all of the things he does wrong in the dark room (another art teacher did this once), but was looking for other ideas.

Thanks for chiming in.

P.S.
I agree about the search feature--not the best!
