		| I just bought a new home and I thought it might be fun to have some of my favorite photos transfered to canvas prints to create a collage. Has anyone done this? Tips, suggestions or preferred companies? |

A while back, a bunch of us took advantage of a promotion from CanvasOnDemand.

sign up for a pro account to get discounted pricing (you don't need to be a pro to do this). For a website you can use dpcprints.

Someone may be able to find the thread with all the samples. Search on 'canvasondemand'.

I got a canvas print done at the local Kinkos. It took them two tries to get the color right, but they redid the print for free. I don't know how the prices compare.

Be sure to ask your supplier for their recommended pixel density, |

Yesterday I was at a local Michael's craft shop where I noticed a large canvas painting on the wall of a family but upon a closer look I realised it was a photo coverted to a 'painting' and it looked wonderful, especially as it was a family gathering of African Americans.

Wolf's Camera store offered the same service so I guess more and more places are jumping on the bandwagon. I intend to have one made but I'm having trouble trying to decide which photo to use! |
