I seem to be having some difficulty with other user's portfolios. Any time I try to click on the link to someone's portfolio in their profile, my portfolio is displayed. Their user id is in the address bar in my broswer, but it's my portfolio.
Even if I try to type in the full address in the address bar (for instance, //www.dpchallenge.com/portfolio.php?USER_ID=4388 ) I get the same result. My user id is 7033, so the id's aren't even close.

I think you have to actuall drill down to the collection of photos. Like my link below

Well,,looks like it doesn't work for me either....
I meant that if you created a folder and put some photos in it(ie..landscape photos in a landscape folder or collection you create in your portfolio) then you could link to that...but it seems to be broken.
You were right pncowley,,,something is not right. |

I've not noticed this until now, but you're right. Someone put a spell on us. ;-) |

I think the problem is that the portfolio system is reading the user ID from the cookie stored on your machine or through similar means (i.e. session variables). If you log out, you will notice no such problem.
BTW: Nice Ontario photos Olympian.I spent every summer when I was younger at Sandy Pond, just a few miles north of Selkirk Shores. |

You are right, mbardeen... I just tried it out, and the problem is not there if I'm logged out of the site. I thought perhaps there was a problem with the cookies on my machine, so I tried deleting all the cookies set for DPChallenge and logged in fresh with a new cookie. Still didn't fix the problem, though! |

Thanks mbardeen, I'm heading up to Sandy Pond the next time we have decent weather over the weekend. Its been on my list, but haven't made it yet. I was actually headed up there on the day I went to Selkirk, but there was an accident on hwy 81 and I went up after work to catch the sunset. By the time they had the accident cleared up,,,I just turned west on the nearest exit and headed towards the lake...Bumped into Selkirk Shores! LOL Got lucky....beautiful sunset! |

I logged out of the site, deleted all cookies, logged back on and still have the same problem. Still going to my own portfolio from other's profile. |
