Well I have been away for a while working on a project called Critiquesite.net.
there is some very basic information here (dangit ... I gotta finish the about page ...)
But some feedback from the folks here would be great...namely
Is this something you would use
What features would you like to see
Would you PAY for this type of site (5 bucks a month is the number that we are playing with)
Thanks
Dave

You forgot to close a tag it seems. :-) Your front page fails validation using your "Valid XHTML" link. |

I am interested. The site looks nice. I would have to see a lot more on how it will be used by the artist in order to say if I would pay 5 a month for it though. |

Heh. Those links beg to be clicked. :)
About the site, I think it's a good idea. I guess my question is, will people rigidly stick to critiquing properly, or will there still be "You're a god/You're a hack" type comments. How would it be enforced? Here they enforce behaviour acceptable within the forum rules, for example, by patrolling via SC and the system works well. Is the site intended to be edited for content? How would off-topic or stuff not on-point and within the site's mandate be controlled? (Questions asked without understanding how things would work in the first place of course.) |

No ... your DNS provider hasn't updated yet ...
We just brought the site onto the live server this morning so there is still propagation of the new address going on.
Check it later today !

I bookmarked it. Interested. Like the plain, well-organized front page. |

Good questions Louis ...
We have setup a similar situation as the SC here to police the forums ... and for the users a karma system If a user is consistently posting junk the other users will reduce that junk posters karma to the point that they will not even be able to post. Off topic and off point is delt with in the same way ... kind of community self policing with the site team overseeing.
One of the things that we will have though is a tough love section ... (might be of interest to DPCers) Submissions and crits will be anonymous. Allowing the submitter to get feedback on their work without violating completion rules some sites or organizations have. That will be neat !
