Okay, I emailed him this;
"Hi :)
I was directed to your site by a friend and I just have a few questions. I'm sure you understand the importance of research before making a substantial investment.
How many photographers do you have on your staff? If I booked a wedding would I have the opportunity to meet and choose, or would you simply assign someone?
Is the price of shooting included in the package prices? How many hours do you normally offer? I presume an assistant accompanies the main photographer?
You mention awards; could you give me some specific examples, and maybe show me some of your winning shots?
Would it be possible to see testimonials from clients? Is there anyone I could contact who could tell me about their experience with your company?
Are the galleries on the site representative of the final work the clients receive, or is there further editing done?
Thank you in advance for providing information to help me narrow my choices.
Sheila"
I'll let you know what he says, IF he answers :)
eta; Yeah, I'm still trying to manouver around that site. And it IS like a disaster, and I CAN'T stop looking!
But I have a question for other wedding doers; If shooting somewhere like a city park that needs a permit who gets it, photographer or client?

LOL! Investigative journalism for DPC news. And if he does respond you can know that you at least took a little time away from his creation of great web pages. Go get 'em BeeCee! ;) |

Hmmm when he says some of the photos on his site were taken with a camera phone he's not kidding, I was kind of hoping he was, These are taken with a Sony Ericsson K790a. Mostly he seems to favor the Kodak C340as in Angela and Richards wedding. I'm a bit worried about what he's shooting the ones with no exif data with. |

Wow I've seen blown highlights before but a blown out bride? That's just wrong! It was taken with the Kodak btw. So a question for the wedding photogs, why would he be taking pictures with his camera phone if he has a Rollei? I could understand him using the histogram on a Canon 400D ( some are taken with that) to get the exposure right but a camera phone? Why? |

He's probably noticed all the additional activity on his site and is pleased at how well it is working. Unless he sees where the referrals are coming from and he comes over here to see what is going on.
I had that happen once. I posted a link to a management article on a work related forum, and the next day the author of the article was a site member. He had seen the referrals coming from our forum and got curious. Ended up that he thought my trade was an interesting topic that is on the fringes of I.T. and he interviewed me on his podcast. |

The address does exist but I live a tad too far to go take a look see. I will see if I can find anyone in that area to do some checking for me.

Interestingly this was one of his mentors: //www.stephenrudd.com/
Too bad he didn't inspire him to make a decent website.

Same here. I was told IT considers it a "security risk", because it has had "so many patches". Methinks they read Microsoft propoganda too much..
I finally got frustrated with IE7 and went back to using FF a few months ago. Nobody has said anything.
I really think the issue is they only want to have to support a limited and known standard configuration, and putting FF on Susie Secretary's PC might cause support headaches. I can appreciate that. I do run into the occasional site that won't play well with FF, but those are getting fewer and fewer. I have the IETab extension when needed.
Did I mention I love the Fox? |

LOL I had a similar problem till I stumbled across //www.portableapps.com where you can get a version of firefox, thunderbird and a crapload of other apps that will run very well on a flash USB drive. Ive been doing that for a couple years now and love it, noting gets installed on the host PC as it all runs off of the USB drive :D
