I submitted a photo for this free contest and they chose it as a semi-finalist! However, they want to publish it in Endless Journeys (a tabletop book). They said that I can buy one for $69 and put a small bio with the photo, or it will be published without my bio if I don't buy.
Is this a scam or is this real? Anyone know more about this?

Semi Finalist!!! me too... for everyone I've ever entered :) I'm just not daring enough to pay them for anything... photolureates.com does the same type of thing.

It's a scam.
There's at least one other thread about it on here. |

Years ago I entered a picture and was so excited when they wanted to publish it, but didn't buy. I saw that picture recently and while I like the subject, couldn't believe how poor it was technically. Anyway, I'm speaking from experience with these people! |

There are dozens of other threads about picture.com. They are a known scam and will part you of much of your cash while they scam you. Search this and other sites to see some of the horror stories. |

I did a forum search for picture.com but went through about 15 posts without finding any info here... how did you do your search? I wouldn't have reposted here otherwise.
