OK, I'm travelling to Torino through Paris for business April 16th through the 25th. I have a long layover on the 16th (9:00am to 8:30pm) in Paris (CDG) and was planning to take the Air France shuttlebus from the airport to Place de Charles de Gaulle. Then wander about until I have to go back to the airport for my flight to Torino. Any suggestions on what's feasible for my whirlwind visit to the city of lights? Someday I want to go back for a much longer stay in Paris, but, this is what I have to work with now.

Then, I'll be in Torino from the 17th through the 25th (I actually leave on Sat the 26th). Any ideas on where to go and what to do, I'll be working during the days, but I'll have some time free, especially the weekend of the 19th/20th?

Merci, Grazie, Thanks.

No suggestions, as I've never been there...but you could pack me in your suitcase and I'll be a personal tour guide! :)

What a great opportunity for you to see such beautiful cities. I hope you have a great time and don't have to work too hard. We'll be waiting for pics when you return! :)

I haven't been to Torino for a very long time, but as far as things to see (and photograph) I always loved Piazza S. Carlo, Piazza Castello, and the Giardini Reali. Heading East from there, you will find the Mole Antonelliana, Piazza Vittorio Veneta, and a beautiful stone bridge over the River Po. All are within a mile of each other.

For a longer excursion, head up the hill to the Basilica Superga, both picturesque in and of itslef, plus a spectacular vantage point for panoramic pictures of Torino (unfortunately marred by the all to common haze and smog).
