I had Caspian put down earlier this evening - I have cried and cried and cried.
I'm tired, but I can't sleep because I have a dental abscess that hurts, the antibiotics haven't started working yet, and I can't take any more co-codamol for at least an hour. And caspian should be curled up on my bed with me... |

Just stopped in to say that I'm doing an abysmal 4.4 in centered......"I love my shot", so I don't care.
It's funny......since hanging around here, having Deb call attention to the base principle that we need to shoot for ourselves, and not the voters/rest of the world, and having been a TSer, and really learning and developing my own style and tastes, I'm in a better place comfortability-wise, and skill-wise, than I've ever been.
My Centered shot is bright, funny, clean, irreverent, and if the voters don't get that, too bad about their luck.
I'm on my way to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for a national cheer competition, and I bought a new 4GB card for the occasion.....(Don'tcha just love it when you have an excuse to buy new stuff?)
I also bought a Nikkor 50mm 1.8D for the whopping price of $129.00.....why didn't I get one of these a long time ago?????
It's harder to use than I expected, but it's a VERY cool lens.
I love it for portraits!
This is a picture of one of my kid's friends with the new lens......she's VERY photogenic!

Okay......I don't know when, or if, I'll get a chance to stop back before I'm back on Sunday, but y'all be cool, and I'll probably have a pic or two, when I'm back of the event.
Oh.......our parent team is up in this competition.
I told Coach last fall that this year I was going to lose weight, and get in shape, and the official count is......two months gym participation, and 80 pounds lost.
I'm wearing one of my favorite genuine made in Hawaii, Hawaiin shirts that I haven't fit in since my daughter brought it back from Hawaii for me last May.
I highly recommend taking better care of yourself......it actually makes you feel better.
ETA: Sara, my condolences......I just lost my Rusty a little bit ago.

| Nein - a Cat Yappie is a separate and distinct award from the monthly Yappie. I think another vote is required. Jeffrey? Can you take care of that? :-) |

Naaahhh... what happened was, I handed off the Yappie ballot to Jeffrey and instructed him that, if you won, to "upgrade" your Yappie win to a Cat Yappie, as you were clearly overdue for that distinction. :) |

Sara,
I am very sorry to hear of your loss, and your tooth problem. Try to remember that you gave your kitty the final respect you could give him, by not letting him suffer any more. I still miss my Siron like crazy and that was back at Christmas time I lost her. My thoughts are with you.

It is still a work in progress, but if anyone has any suggestions on layout, style, or a total redesign that would be helpful. Don't want to get too far along before having to have to redo it again. |

Wow, you have done some great work Jayson! I like the site because it is not cluttered like some are, and of course the photos are fantastic. My only minor complaint is that it takes a while to load (and I am on high speed cable) which is of course one of the reasons why I do not care for flash based sites. Other than that, it is very cool.

Yeah, I've got the same complaint - the slide shows are taking a while to load (and I'm on broadband). I tend to prefer slightly simpler versions, maybe where you click on the picture and it loads up full size, or where you have to click 'next' yourself. Slide shows are nice but unnecessary.
Other than that, the design looks cool, and you've got some fantastic pics on there :) |
