For all of you that said this should be reported, rest at ease, it was. The dog is eating the food that I bought for it. I stopped and purchased a 50 lb bag of food and gave this dog and another in the same yard some food. I have a passion for these dogs and can't stand to see them or any dog abused this way. The owner and I had some heated words over this and almost had a few other not so memorable moments together. Anyway, thanks for the votes.
If you were one of the ones that voted this low, and feel like commenting as to why, please feel free to do so. Anyone can give a critique on this and it will be appreciated.

James ... this is the first time I've seen this image ... very powerful ... I'm so glad that you've got a big heart and called the owner out on his abuse ... glad to know that you're making sure they're getting fed too! Hopefully the authorities will do something about this situation soon ... Great shot, should have placed way higher! Go Team Stranger ... |

You'll have to keep us posted on what happens here. Kudo's for the extra effort (feeding) and for the gonads to get close enough to give it food!
As for the photo and the score...in reading the comments, I'll concur with several others that not seeing the dogs face, especially the eyes, held this back. It was the first thing I noticed. This could have scored probably 6+ if a more emotional connection between the viewer and the dog was made (via seeing the eyes). JMO of course. :-) |

Did not really take alot of nads. He was a very gentle dog. The female was a little too jumpy for me to get to close to. She would cower away every time I got close or raised the camera. I managed to slide a food bowl to her without having to get in her face. Probably a good thing. A dog that is hungry and scared can be very dangerous. I did not get that close to either one. Thanks for the comments. I agree that the eyes should have stood out more. I will post the original later. |
