Here's mine.

I almost hit 6 and have gotten some good comments so far that might have pushed me over.

What I was going for -- a "whiter" bw than I normally do -- possibly high key without being truly high key.

What was I thinking....I was driving to work, saw this tree, and wanted to get a shot. I liked the brightness of the sky and clearing clouds...unfortunately I had a busy road directly at my back, that would have required moving my truck, crossing a buys highway, and trying to get get a shot between traffic. And, I was already late for work, so that was out. I was trying to somehow contrast the dark, drabness of the brick column with the beauty of the ice covered tree. Unfortunately, I guess I didn't have enough room and time to make that happen. Thanks for all the constructive comments...hopefully some of them will sink in to this thick skull!! 8-)

Just for sh*ts and giggles, here's a larger, cleaner file for anyone to screw with that wants to.....

Mostly what I was going for was the surrounding eerie night and the truck, although theoretically the focal point of the image, was really just to help set the stage for the nightscape. I still like mine the way that it is.....8>)

I just want to say thank you to everyone that comment on my photo, each and everyone had something to say that I can take and try, in a language that I understood go figure :)

Thanks everyone for your comments, even though my score was high enough in the end that I didn't officially qualify. It was great to hear other points of view in detail, and I probably got more useful comments in the last week that I have in all the challenges I've entered in the last year! Thanks so much! Special thanks to Melethia, who I think commented on most of my portfolio! :)

P.S. NikonJeb, I left a comment on your 'original' shot.
