We were out enjoying a warmer afternoon and of course I was taking pictures. I ended up shooting this:

I was going to enter it in the Led Zeppelin challenge (there was an appropriate lyric) but Photoshop crashed as I was saving for web minutes before rollover. No time to recover so I called it "Wasted Time" because I wasted my time editing. Or so I thought. I ended up putting it in the B&W side challenge.

So then I see a photo contest at the local state park where I took the picture. I figured I have nothing to lose so I enter it. Results can be found here.

Congratulations, Ken. Yours is my favorite. The three shots chosen by the staff were all better than those chosen by the public. There must have been a lot of people voting for their friends.

We bought one to get into the park to take pictures, but at least now we can leave one in each car.

No doubt! Those DNR folks know a beautiful portrait of their park when they see it. Congratulations.

I agree. One of the shots, Sentinel is nice but its is slanted. I wonder if the photographer's family was originally from Pisa. :)
