I've jsut read this and was utterly appalled :-(

Warning - this links to a news story detailing an act of animal cruelty - do NOT follow if easily distressed

If you're looking for things to be appalled at...

There's this...

and this

and of course, this

but wait, that's not all

*Not picking on SoulMan, or the UK (Lord knows I could find much more news like this in the US) - just making an observation.

Obviously, children and teenagers are the problem. I call for an immediate ban on human reproduction...

Or maybe we can lock them all up between the ages of 10 and 24?

Well, the UK tried that with their extensive system of boarding schools. Didn't seem to help :-)

****This post is a JOKE :-)****

I see what you're saying, Art and others. The other links posted are saddening, I guess the one I posted seems particularly cruel and a depth I hadn't realised we'd descended to.

I was about to post a really long rant about how I'm so fed up my college and how they keep jerking me around, then I found this thread and realized that there are bigger problems than a bad education.

Yea I heard that on the news yesterday and today. The really sad thing about it is that there's some psychiatrist (sp?)who is trying to defend these kids by telling everyone that their brains don't function like adults and they don't have the capacity to plot an attack and actually hurt someone. Maybe that sheds some light on the problem at hand, too many adults making up excuses for why kids are screwed up.

What I find so scary about the dog attack is that it won't just be a dog in the future. It may be you or your loved one that has their throat cut open in the future by the perpetrator. This child or children need serious help before that happens. Will they get it? Probably not and there will be a price to be paid down the line. That is a near certainty.

There appears to be a strong link between animal cruelty in childhood and serial killing.
