I have a lot of lenses not listed in my profile, and usually add info in the photog's comment box and leave the lens box unchecked.
Too bad that there is no option to type in lens data, as you have to use the autofill to add lens data. I like to shoot with unusual combo's and junky finds, and there does not seem to be listings in the data base for 178mm Aero Ectar lenses with homemade adapter hardware.
I try to keep the lenses that I use most often in my profile.
A little off this subject, but related to uploading photo info, does anyone know if you can organize the iso , aperture, and shutter speed dropdowns so you don't have to sift thru 20 different shuffled items to find the right one? Currently, it's easier and quicker for me to just type in the complete info.

If some photos are linked to your old lenses and cameras, leave them there.
Otherwise it is MISLEADING. People would think you took all your photos with your newest camera, which is not true.
Joey Lawrence took many great photos with cheaper model cameras (so did I). That shows real talent. Umm, maybe it's not just the equipment! |

Hang around long enough and you'll figure out that great photographers can take great photographs with cheap cameras. And.... crappy photographers can take crappy photographs with extremely expensive cameras. (unfortunately I kind of resemble the last sentence)

The only use for the equipment list is that I can select from it which lens I used for a specific picture. It has no use as a list or an archive. I see no point in judging a photographer by his or her equipment, and I see no point in bragging about what I own. Neither do I see a point in checking the equipment list of a great photographer and thinking I could have been just as good if I only had that equipment. :P
It can be useful to relate a work of art to the tools it was made with, but I see no point in relating the tools to the artist.
OT: yes, I delete old equipment. |

I usually leave it in case people have questions about that gear. |

Just sold my Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 EX APO on Ebay and promptly removed it from my lens list here.
Bloody thing never won a ribbon anyway.
