I've never shot one but I would think you would want to shot a burst of shots at as high a speed as you can starting with shots before it blows up. Sounds like a fun shoot, make sure to post results.

Pushed back due to the the weather -- the dusting of snow we got overnight. Just as well; I wouldn't have made it at 7am...

Got to figure out in 45 minutes how to do that. Tripod or not?

I'd use the tripod.

I would also get as high as possible. The dust cloud is quickly going to obscure the building if you are down at ground level. That's my guess at least.

I'm back! Up high, tripod, burst -- all good advice. The trip was mostly a success. Pictures shortly...
