Why not a landmark challenge? Pictures of places or things in your city that can't be missed if one is to visit. Or maybe something that a tourist will miss unless they should go see before leaving town.

I was thinking of something like that too. But to pick out the one thing in your town that defines it for you.
Your idea is much better than mine. Would need to do it soon. I hate getting cold when I'm taking pictures.

I like the idea, but am not sure it would be a fair one.

If you live in Sydney for instance you can get an obvious shot of the opera house, bargain!

If you like in the middle of woop woop then your local landmark, which may be extremely important in your town, may be rusted out car by the side of the road, or if you are very lucky the local run down pub.

Anyone near a landmark that everyone would instantly recognise would have a distinct advantage here. People without may fall into the "I have no idea what that risty car is meant to be, it's certainly not a landmark ..... 1".

What about, though it still falls into the same traps ... "Not a landmark - Something that is not a landmark but should be" ;)

I think this is unfair to people that don't live near landmarks. I mean, I live near Washington, DC and.... uhm.... never mind. Good idea.
