That maybe true in your own little world, but besides MOTION BLUR there are at least two other qualities of blur, those are FOCUS BLUR (or simply OOF by purpose) and ZOOM BLUR. And now back to your narrow-minded voting.

Focus blur (OOF on purpose) - too easy, looks like a mistake, and makes the eyes hurt. ;-)
Zoom blur - yep, it's fun; also easy. :-O
Motion blur - the most fun and challenging of all for sure! :-D

Oh yeah...scores. :-)

Really pleased to get so many comments.

Not so pleased about the score.

Ahh well.

Eyewave...

I LOVE zoom blur. Ask anyone here who did a zoom blur, I think they're great. Motion blur, obviously I like it a lot.

But you even say yourself that focus blur is basically deliberate OOF.

So, deliberately done or not, if it's OOF, it's OOF.

BTW...you call me narrowminded...well, better that than splitting hairs to the nth degree. Nyah.

Aie. I got a couple comments so far about a particular area in my photo being too (insert adjective here) when I specifically attempted to try to process it *not* to look that way.

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest.

What's so challenging about motion blur especially in this challenge since the goal was blurry mess? If you used a tripod to "unmess" it you're getting a big fat 0 next to the category "meeting the challenge" from me. :-O

You forgot to mention environmental fog blur, and fogged lens/filter blur when shooting : ) It's old school stuff.

Still at 5.9+

Last day check in. Still hovering. I think I nailed the right combo of blurry mess and recognizable comp. Some don't care for my entry, but nobody has called it DNMC yet, at least not in a comment.
