Down by the Aquarium is cool [inside is okay too] - waterfront type of deal e.t.c. Walk back to Fanuel Hall for some people watching & street entertainers (not far and more happening on the w/e). If you get the standard tourist trolley, they run past most of the stuff. The Constitution is not bad either. Catch the red line out to Harvard square if you have a chance. Down by the river in the afternoon might have the sale boats out (might be a bit early not sure). Walk around the common and more so the gardens.... On one edge is a lot of nice old buildings (near the cheers tourist trap, which I suggest you avoid like the plague). If you have some time to get to the JFK library & on the shore around there is okay (no idea how to get there without a car but I assume buses or something go there). The library & church at Copley Square are nice if you are into old buildings (green line). Have fun....

Check out the swan boats. They fascinated me.
The Swan Boats are located in the Boston Public Garden - 24 acres bound by Arlington, Boylston, Charles and Beacon Streets. |

Do not think the swan boats are out yet, you will have to look into this. Alot of good places robs suggested. Lot of good water shots and skyline shots around also if you look near the hatchshell. Hope ya have a bit of fun.

Oh Yum!!... Second that one :-) It's such a high class place though [not]... the animals get dumped out the back and slapped on a plate in front after a visit to the BBQ... The bigger ones even get cut in half :-), so bring your best eating teeth.... Last time I was there the only thing that looked like a vegi was the corn bread :-) but they also have plenty of beer.....

If your a friendly sort looking for good opportunities for street photography: after eating at Red Bones - hang out in the neighborhood (Davis Square). There are a lot of interesting folks around, and you can find a lot of them at Someday Cafe and Diesel Cafe (both within about a block around Red Bones). The nexus of the young activist and urban hipster types hang out in this area (it kind of migrated here from Harvard) and they can point you to other places. Harvard Square used to be the hot spot - its less these days and more family oriented - but its still a good place to find buskers of all sorts around the T station entrance.
Fanuel Hall is always teeming with people. And there is often a grandson/grandfather team working the T station underground. Hitting them at the right time you can catch the entire place singing along to Sweet Caroline - and seriously Bostonians are a notoriously surly and unfriendly lot so having them all singing Neil Diamond with good humor is nothing sort of a miracle.
I believe its still to early for the boathouse to be open, but you can check that out off of the Fresh Pond Parkway. The regatta launch is from here.
You can also always take a Photo Walk - I still think its WAY more fun to explore.
St Patricks day is tomorrow and you are going to IRSIH TOWN. There will be lots and lots and lots of overflowing pubs and drunken revelry going on all night long. Check out the parades too: Boston Parade Schedule
