I saw that I was lagging a bit in my commenting (I had been trying to keep my comments given higher than received), so I gave this 100% thing a shot. I gotta say, kudos to those who do this regularly. even though this was a relatively small challenge, it still was time-consuming to do all of these.

Yipppeee! I actually commented 100%. I concur with  brownsm, it's amazing how some of you do so many comments given how long it takes just to do over 100! I wish commenters could have their scores weighted more heavily. I feel like my scores were much more consistent and well considered from all of that commenting. It's a little addictive too.

Hi Judi. I'm curious (thinking about giving this a go - 100% comment on a challenge)...do you verify the content of the comments? For example, in a current challenge (say 'Leading Lines IV') could I make a simple comment like "nice leading lines" and keep on going, or should it be a comment with some (a little anyway) thought?

OK, I'll play. I have actually done a 100% in 2 other challenges but didn't know about this thread. I new here and my goal is to comment 100% on at least one challenge each week. I find I learn a lot by commenting.

It is good to add some thought to your comments. But like anything, you need to start somewhere....so if you feel a little nervous...start with a small challenge with small comments. As you get into it, your confidence in yourself will build and it will reflect in what you write. And overtime you will also find yourself learning more about lighting, angles and composition, just from studying the images presented to you. So give it a go...and be as free with your writing as you like. But keep in mind....if you don't want to receive a comment like that...then don't write one. Keep the authors reasons for taking a particular photograph, in mind.

hadnt seen this before and inspired me to comment more
and of the 1st one to do it with was Blurry Mess
my head hurt voting and then to go back and look again gave me a new perspective on what i was seeing and i actually upted a lot of
my original scores
wish i could have upted mine too lol jking of course

I must be nuts. The number of entries and the nature of this challenge probably made it not the best first challenge to comment 100%. It was exhausting. It did force me to spend some time really thinking about some of the images, and I adjusted my scores slightly after commenting.
I refuse to leave comments like "nice shot" and "way cool" (or worse -- and some here are guilty of it -- just a score by itself) and that's what made this so hard. Some images left zero impression on me; I had nothing good or bad to say, and so coming up with a constructive or helpful comment was difficult. I'm not sure I succeeded with every single image.
BBNM should have been established for this challenge -- i.e. Blurry But Not Messy. That was my biggest gripe. The element of mess or chaos, in my opinion, meant you had to do something more artistic and creative than just capturing motion or a long exposure night shot. I commented to that effect.
Don't know if I'll aim for this again. Maybe in a smaller more conventional challenge when I have a lot of time and a lot of creative energy -- but those stars don't all align very often.

Really hard challenge to comment on as a lot of subject matter is not that pleasing but anyway some weird and wonderful interpretation of pollution.
