He's one of my new favorite people after that. I agree with every word he said.

Article is crap. I'm with Ken.
Actually I'm somewhere in between. It is true that you need right tools for the job. I will always support that. At the same time Ken's article is written for different audience. It is for people that do nothing but compare equipment and blame poor results on their gear. Point is, whatever you have now is lots better than 10 years ago and 10 years ago you could make great pictures. Take whatever camera you have and get out there and take some photos.

| If Ken Rockwell is the Chuck Norris of photography, who does that make Michael Reichmann? |

| Fun take on the subject. Worth also taking a look at Reichmann's photo on that page titled "Span ΓΆ€“ Sydney, Australia. March, 2008." I loved it. |

I think Mr. Reichmann has identified the root cause of the problem (and perhaps of many others):

Unfortunately, I believe the answer is an emphatic no. |

Ken's essay seems sorta weird since he is among the most partisan of photography persona when it comes to equipment. Methinks the guy just likes to hear himself speak.

Actually, I'm not sure I've read any, but I've sure read a lot of reviews of his articles ... ;-) |

| I thought it was kinda funny, in Joe McNally's book, he seems to take a shot at both Reichmann and Rockwell (and other high profile natty-light landscape shooters) when he pokes fun at photographers that will go to the ends of the world in pursuit of the "perfect light" but freak out when someone puts a speedlight into their hands, as if its a bastardization of the light god gave us... |
