Today is the last day of Dr. Seuss week at my kids' school and I couldn't resist. My own son (blue shirt in the second photo) had absolutely no clue who it was, and still wasn't quite convinced 10 minutes after I arrived. LOL

I was ready for any question with jokes and prepared rhymes. Lots of smiles this morning. ;-)

It is so refreshing to see parents (especially Dad's) taking an interest in early education to help out a class or school. Props for the great costume, taking time out of your day for the kids, and sharing the experience with us.

That's awesome shannon!
Plus, it's always cool to get extra miles out of props you got for a photo! :-)

My wife took the pics ("Take some pictures, if you please. Just press this button and I'll say cheese.")

One kid said he didn't think I was a real cat. I said I didn't think he was a real kid.

Another pointed out that I didn't have a tail, so I held up the book and said I had LOTS of tales.

When kids pointed and stared, I'd point back and say, "Omigosh! Look at THAT!"

I dropped paper and apologized for the kitty litter.

One of the kids studying Dr. Seuss said he thought I was dead. I told him that was just a story.

This went on for over an hour. ;-)

Those are great responses, I love your quick wit. I would have probably just said "Oh Ya, well, um, ah, look at the book and shut up kid..."

Maybe you should consider comedy as a sideline!

That kid on the right in the first picture seems to be touching you to make sure you're real.

There was a class in the library, so I popped in and asked, "Has anyone seen my book?" ;-P

I liked the laughs, I loved the cheers
but I still have glue upon my ears. :-(

Yeh Shannon, give up photography and become a FULL TIME cat in a hat I'm not 100% sure but I think you might even earn more money at it...

Great call and answers, "I don't think you're a real kid" too funny hahahaha
