2.) If it was kate and sawyers, then that would mean kate got pregnant after the eggtown episode, which would make the child about 3 months younger than aaron. Obviously the flash forward we see with aaron is much farther into the future, that baby just looked too old for it to fit in the timeline. he looked almost 3! probably 2 and some change!
|
Keep in mind tho that time does not proceed in the same manner as the outside world. |
yeah, but either way the 'feds' would be a little suspicious knowing she wasn't pregnant when she got on the plane and all of a sudden she comes back with a 3 month old child.... in fact that makes it even more plausible if you ask me...... |
Do you know how long it has been between the flight crashing and the scenes in the outside world? Enough time for Kate to have gotten pregnant on the island and had Aaron? |

Maybe something happens to Claire's Aaron and Kate has Sawyers baby and names it after Claire's Aaron. Thats why Jack doesn't want anything to have with it. |

The best part is, it's an official ABC production.

so that was nice. desmond goes all billy pilgram* on us. good episode.
so do you think faraday actually remembered desmond _before_ the time jump? or do you think the writing at the end in his journal was "new" (ie, did future history change?)
other things we still don't know (and my guess) :
- who's ben's spy on the ship? (michael)
- who are the people on the boat, and who do they work for? (dharma)
- who are all the remaining oceanic 6 (i count aaron and guess locke)
- how does claire get separated from aaron? (dead)
- why do people insist on believing aaron's kate and saywer's kid? (they need their meds...)
- why do we bother asking why? (i need my meds. oh nurse ratched!...)
(* for all you young kids who think i mean the band, click the link and learn something...)

I got lost someplace...
Desmond and penny have a relationship, break up and he goes off to sail around the world, gets stranded on the island for 3 years. Penny has been looking for him for 3 years. The breakup was more than 8 years ago (according to last night's timeline). So what happened during the 5 years from the 96 breakup till the 2001 sail boat incident (since the boat was used by the characters to sail around the island at one point it wasn't crashed on the island). This implies desmond/penny talked, or she was tracking his travels (to know he got lost as there would have been no wreckage, no search)
OK, so Desmond and Penny are NOT getting along in 1996. Assuming he didn't go AWOL, at some point he sails off - and then Penny decides to go looking for him???? Why? Her last interaction would have been with this 'crazy desmond' saying he'll be calling on christmas eve in 8 years...I don't think I'd wait 5 years and then begin a worldwide search for him.
Fine, so she searches. Why is she calling the boat? Why do they know it's her but are not allowed to answer the calls?
Ohh, and the book at the auction that old man whidmore bought - you KNOW it talks about the island, so perhaps that explains it all?
As to Kate and Aaron - she's in federal court, after having come back from the island, finding a place to live, probably a mdeai tour of some kind (everyone knows them, more so than in a regular survival story). Feds work slowly, and she wasn't being held in jail so there would have been all sorts of proceedings -could easily take a year with a good lawyer to delay and postpone things.
What was the comment Penny made about Charley?

yeah chris... it seems you've missed a lot... here goes nothing :
desmond does go awol at some point. one of his earliest flashbacks is him getting out of prison. (i'm guessing it was because he went to get penny's phone number last night, but we'll see...)
penny knew about the boat. she found him right before he left. he was training in a stadium (where he met jack the first time, if you remember) and he said he had to win the race for her. she kinda figures out her dad's been trying to keep them apart. so we know there's at least some communication between crazy, "give me your phone number" and him leaving on the boat...
we know from the episode where he turns the key and destroys the hatch that she's been searching for him, and must know something about the island because she's got two guys stationed in antarctica looking for the electromagnetic surge. i'm guessing she gets her hands on the book her daddy won at auction in last nights episode.
speaking of the book... did anyone catch what boat it was from? that's right... the black rock. the same ship that's on the island where they got the dynamite (and dude blew himself up... yuck.) it probably has all kind of details about the island, since somehow it made it off.
as for penny's comment about charlie... she was the one who told charlie that the people on the boat weren't sent by her. he told her desmond was alright, but got dead before anything more could be said...
i think she knows about the boat and who they are, though...
lets see... did i cover it all? i think that gets all your questions...

Thanks!
Due to a former job I missed all the first season, so some of the early stuff I'm unaware of, like the race in the stadium thing. I do remember them getting the picture taken (that he has in his hands, and also the girl from the boat had in the book). I don't recall when it was take, but this being such a linear show I must just be dumb LOL.
I do recall a VERY brief bit about the arctic guys - but how penny knows to call the ship is still a mystery to me. As is who ben works for, or who the ship belongs to. Penny's dad is rich, and bought the book - so there is likely some connection there. Hell, everything is connected in this show, so yeah, there's gonna be a connection. Ben probably sold the book at the auction for all we know LOL
As to the charley comment, perhaps I've read more into it that it there is. Rare for there to be more to anything on Lost than what is apparent at face value of course, but somehow I'm not sure charlie's dead. Perhaps Aaron is charley reincarnated. Not much would surprise me now.
I've not read any of the Lost books that are out there, but did glance thru one at the bookstore. Lost Stuff The one partway down, Lost and Philosophy: The Island Has Its Reasons. Wow, all the undertones, and the we throw in Billy Pilgrim...whatever they're smokin out there in LA or HI, I want some.

I know we were talking about this before but Aaron is NOT one of the OS. This was just said by one of the AOL writers and LOST expert on TVGuide channel. She also predicts that it is Claire that dies.
3days 0hours 13minutes until the next show.
FYI guys this will be show 4 of 6 this season. UGHHHHH

Well that's what was going to happen as far as I heard from ABC but I just found this...
From wikipedia:
The fourth season of the U.S. serial drama television series Lost began airing on Thursday, January 31, 2008.[2] Originally planned to contain sixteen episodes, eight have been filmed while another five were announced to be produced in the resolution of the Writers Guild of America strike, which means the season will now run for thirteen episodes.[1] Following the resolution of strike action, the season is expected to conclude in May 2008. It continues the stories of a group of more than forty people who have been stranded on a remote island in the South Pacific after their airplane crashed ninety-three days prior to the beginning of the season. They are assailed by a group of dangerous island inhabitants they call the "Others" and attempt to escape the mysterious island.[3] Episodes will continue to feature secondary storylines showing points in characters' lives before and after their time on the island.[4]
The series is produced by ABC Studios, Bad Robot Productions and Grass Skirt Productions and will be aired on the American Broadcasting Company Network in the U.S.[5] Co-creator/executive producer/head writer Damon Lindelof and executive producer/writer Carlton Cuse serve as the show runners.[6] The show is primarily filmed in Hawaii with post-production in Los Angeles.[7]

I just found that Sawyer's nickname for me would be "Quickie." ROFL (from the link above, there are games and ditties to play at ABC)
I didn't watch the first two seasons, so there are gaps but my husband and son try to fill me in. Kate's baby, Aaron, slipped by my husband so I had to repeat it last week. Also, my son said that the Oceanic Six is also called the Oceanic Eight on another episode. Does that sound familiar to anyone? |

The eight came from the episode that Jack was on the stand testifying for Kate. He said that there were 8 survivors from the plane crash but the Os is the six that actually get off the island.
Does that make sense to you?

If Michael was in the coffin you think his son would have come to see him. The guys said that no one came. Most people think that Ben is in there.
And Desmond doesn't count. He wasn't on the plane.
