OK, I bought Portrait Professional 6, which is on sale at a serious discount btw. Now, would someone be so kind so help explain the liqify tool, please? Which brush do you use to change the shape of the mouth? Which to widen the eyes? What opacity, what brush size is best? I'm getting there... Thank you all!!

Kelli, I'm a little late with this reply, but before you knock yourself out trying to alter the expression with liquify, try Portrait Professional. It opens the eyes and alters the mouth very simply by the use of sliders. The result is quite natural. If that isn't enough, then I'd try a little liquify on top of that.

FWIW, a lot can be done in a new layer either via copy or duplicate layer, then drag a box to make a selection, say the right 1/3 of the mouth taking in about 50% more pixels than needed, then use the Transform/Skew or Transform/Distort, feather it and use the eraser close-up to blend a bit. Flatten then if needed, use the healing tool a bit to complete the transformation. Takes some practice though.

Been wanting to get protrait professional since I tried the trial. Now that it is on special (thanks for the heads up) I've bought it. It definately is a very easy way to get quick and instant results. I think it is a programme where you would have to be careful not to overdo it as I think it could be easy to get heavy handed.

ROFLMAO!!! Thanks for this!! I got this email from her yesterday after sending her proofs with a print price list (I don't think she'll be able to print anything larger than wallets for what it's worth...

Kelli
I want the proofs for crw-0959cppcproof and 0968cpcrproof-jpg(243kb)I already sent some out on shutterfly -6to be exact and I hope I didn't break any laws doing so -if anything I guess they wont be able to open them till there paid for. If you have anything else cant wait to see and I will get a smile pic out to you also.

On a slightly different note..

Why didn't you tell her straight out that if she wanted the best images then she had to listen to what you say and allow herself to be directed by you.. she may of thought that `demure` look was sexy & sassy, but you should of just told her she looked downright miserable and the shots would reflect that.. I hope you are getting adequate payment for the shots and the photoshop work you are having to put in.. I mean, if you are flogging her a bunch of 6x4s at $5 a piece it hardly seems worth the hassle.

Dont be scared of telling your clients what they need to do, if they refuse then say "fine, but if the images are shite then it isnt my fault."
