That is cool. I like the Zilla in the window too!
Reminds me of the movie I went to see tonight "Jumper". It was partially filmed in my little town so it was interesting picking out the local stuff.

Congratulations, Jeb!! That's very cool!
My Bread shot is threatening to break 5, but I'm confident it won't quite get there. Maybe my next entry... :-) |

Just a small bit of news here. I got new glasses, and surprise surprise, I can see noise and tell the difference between soft and sharp focus. Now lets see if this will do anything to improve my photos. |

That just takes all the fun out of it! :-) (But thanks for reminding me - I have a new pair I need to pick up, too.) |

Great ... Melethia gives me some great comments on some of my shots then reveals that she needs new glasses.

LOL! Nah, you're safe. I only wear glasses for distance. I have to take them off to see the computer. :-) |

Eeks! I need some! I have to break down and finally get the old bifocals. I've been putting it off for a couple years. It's now getting hard to see my food in restaurants with dim lighting! Getting old is so much fun! :P |

Actually ... I have THREE different pairs of glasses. One pair for two meters plus focus (tv, scenery etc) ... One pair for around a meter focus (computer and grocery shopping) ... One pair for reading.
You said it, hipychik ... Getting old is so much fun! :P

Oh, do NOT put it off any longer!
I resisted it for two years out of vanity and denial and it was one of the dumber things I've done.
I love being able to see again......and they make seamless ones so nobody can tell!
I almost trashed my ankle the first day I had them stumbling around but I became adjusted to them very fast.
I do like getting older.......age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill! LOL!!!
I highly recommend taking better care of yourself, too.
I haven't felt as good as I do now that I'm doing a modicum of diet and exercise.....just for myself!
It's worth a little effort to be around longer to be an annoyance to my kid! LOL!!!

Yes, and yes, it does!
Oh.....one other thing.
A high end day spa overlooking Harrisburg across the Susquehanna has four of my images, all in 20X30 or larger. The building is GORGEOUS, and I stopped in yesterday to check it out.
Now I have to spend a bunch of money as I'm just going to have to treat Lisa & Eleanor to a day there of complete pampering!
It's really awesome to see my work in a place such as this!

Jeb, that is so cool about your prints. I wish I had your guts and entrepreneurism. (Which is not to be confused with an aneurysm, of course, neither of which I can spell.) And when you did the prints for the spa, you should have got two day-passes in the deal! Silly guy.... :-) But yes, definitely treat your ladies to a day there - it's an excellent gift! |

Yay! Congrats!
I'm going to go to my first local camera club meeting March 5th. On the average, what size do you print for camera clubs? They want everyone to bring two prints. |

Way to go Jeb! woohoo! and thanks for linking my pic to the page...
Ernie, what's a Zilla?...and will try the RAW converter you suggested, downloaded it last night...
Julianne, sad to say my version of PS doesn't have Exposure :( but thanks anyway for the suggestion, maybe I can scrape together some pennies and upgrade to CS2 or 3.
BTW...was working downstairs on my floor (what else is new?) and thought there was one, although one very thick layer of linoleum down there...WRONG! There are TWO layers. And both are gawdugly. Oh boy. I'll wait til weather is warmer before tearing up that crap, the rest of the floor keeping me busy enough. |

1) Copy the URL
2) In the forum post box, type up to the point where you want to add the link.
3) Click the little icon above the box that's 3rd from the right and looks like a little ball (probably supposed to be the Earth)
4) Paste URL in the box that pops up
5) Type whatever you want the link text to be
6) Click "OK"
Or just paste the URL into the message and click the check box below the post box that says "Automatically Parse URLs"
Result of method 1: My favorite shot on DPC
Result of method 2: //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=433305

Hi Kelli,
In my past experience they usually want them all to be the same size. So they will likely say something like 8x10 or 8x12 prints only. So then when they are judged the different sizes do not make one look more powerful than the other. I would contact the club and ask them if I were you. :)
