After a few bad months things are starting to turn around for us hopefully.

Last spring (Autumn for Northern hemisphere) my mum was diagnosed with a form of cancer that did not respond to treatment, she passed away early January after being ill for a very short time and we had a wonderfull Xmas / New Year with her.

Last week Friday 8th Febuary we were hit by a Mini Cyclone (Like a tornado) that caused damage over a thin narrow strip, unfortunatly we copped the brunt of it, luckily the only damage was to tree's and fencing. It has made a terrible mess of out selectively cleared 5 acres and will take months of cleaning up. You can see some of the damage here. Mini Cyclone damage here

Last Monday we were hit by a Monsoonal trough that lashed us with lots of very heavy rain and then heavy showers for days, our dam is normally 20m X 30m it grew to covering about 2.5 acres :)

Today at 10am our Female Alpaca Xanadu gave birth to a beautiful little Girl Cria (baby) that we have named Cinnamom. This photo shows me carrying Cinnamon to be weighed when only 2 hours old. Over my shoulder is Xanadu following and Benson our whether just behind her.

Today was a great day!

I hope to become active in DPC again real soon, I have missed you guys heaps.

She's beautiful. A great day, indeed!
(Sorry for all you've had to endure the past few months.)

Cinnamon is beautiful, as are her parents. Her face is adorable.

I'm sorry about your mom and the damage to your place. I'm glad that you are safe.

I pray that things are 'looking up' for you from now on.
