I can only speak for myself of course, but my votes are strictly based on the entry itself and whether or not I am in the challenge has no bearing on it. |

| i know it's bad of me and i hate that it even entered my head. i was just a bit disappointed in one of the challenges where someone made a 'nice' comment and then scored me a 4. i know it was their vote because the view only increased by one as well as the vote count. i just happened to catch it by chance, but it really threw me. i figured anyone leaving a low score would leave a comment reflecting that or no comment at all (which is mostly the case), not leave a nice comment. |

It could have been someone who already voted commenting at the same time the new vote came in. There's no way to connect votes to comments. |

| I quite often vote first, comment later, which means if someone else votes while I'm commenting, it might appear that was my vote. For this challenge, I've decided to just look - and leave a few comments here and there with no vote. It's not that I vote lower if I'm not doing well - the opposite happens to be true in my case - I tend to be very generous when my score is tanking. What you don't want is for me to vote in a challenge I'm not in. I'm brutal then. :-) |

then the view would have changed 2. one for the view of the voter of '4' and one for the person coming back to comment.
i make most of my comments after i finish voting as well.
melethia, please inform me which challenges you don't intend to enter ahead of time. :D |

| For what it's worth: I too vote generously, when I vote (dial-up is a real pain), in a challenge where my entry is definitely (often) unstellar. If I have great hopes (I used to) I usually don't vote. |

In the last 24 hours I have dropped from 7.1 down to 6.09 and only 1 comment. What gives?
